The online configurator tool for the 2021 Buick Envision officially launched on the automaker’s website this week, allowing users to customize their own version of the new compact crossover.
As GM Authority reported previously, pricing for the second-generation Buick Envision starts at $32,995 for the entry-level Preferred trim level including destination. Moving to the next trim level, the mid-range Essence, sees the price swell to $36,995. The range-topping Avenir model, meanwhile, starts at $41,200 with destination.
All 2021 Buick Envision models come standard with front-wheel-drive, though a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system is available across the board for a $1,800 price premium.
The only available engine in the 2021 Buick Envision is a turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gas engine, which produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a standard GM nine-speed automatic transmission.
We went ahead and configured our own 2021 Buick Envision using the newly launched configurator tool to get a feel for the available trim levels, exterior and interior colors and optional equipment. Our example vehicle is an Avenir trim level finished in the Cinnabar Metallic exterior color (a $495 option) with Whisper Beige interior upholstery. It also features twin-clutch all-wheel-drive and the available Technology Package II, which adds a Rear Camera Mirror Washer, LED headlamps, a Rear Camera Mirror, Adaptive Cruise Control, Continuous Damping Control (CDC), Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, and a Welcome/Walkaway animation at an added cost of $1,965. The price tag for our example Envision came to $43,690.
The first examples of the 2021 Buick Envision began arriving at ports in early December 2020. The compact crossover rides on the GM E2 platform and is built at the GM Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China for export to North America and for local consumption in China.

All Envisions with AWD will be Twin Clutch!
It sure looks a lot classier than the previous one.
Wow! Just a hair under $44,000 for the top of the line Avenir with AWD and loaded! With that price and the great looks, this will blow the doors off so many others out there (Lexus, Volvo, Acura). This will be a hit. I love that interior and it may just be one of the best out there. I’d say the Lincoln’s interiors would be better if not for the ugly screen jutting out of the dash on all the Lincolns now. Buick wins.
Sorry, my Chinese max is a 600.00 iPhone.
this will probably steal more from cadillac than the brands you listed. compared to the xt4, almost the same HP, better looking and cheaper.
Why are they importing fully assembled cars from China? I had no idea GM was doing that.
Build them in the USA same price just a little less profit from the chines cheap labor=Lordstown plant shut down.
Made in CHINA. Based upon Chinas’ relationship with the USA, I’ll look elsewhere.
With China Joe you can expect dang near everything will be in the next 4 years.
Please tell me one American company under the Trump administration that closed up shop in China and moved all operations back to the US.
Absolutely agree with all the Chinese references. Build them here, but it will never happen due to cooperate America GREED.
