2021 Buick Envision Colors: First Look

The 2021 Buick Envision represents the first model year for the all-new, second-generation crossover. The all-new model, which we originally referred to as the Buick Enspire – is intended not only to strengthen Buick position in the premium compact crossover space, but also to attract new buyers.

As we’ve reported previously, the 2021 Envision makes the move from the the GM D2 platform to the GM E2 platform, and welcomes a redesigned exterior, interior, new safety tech, and a host of mechanical improvements over the previous-generation model. And now, we’re getting our first look at the revised color palette of the premium crossover.

In all, GM offers a total of seven 2021 Buick Envision colors, comprised of one glossy and six metallic options:

Rich Garnet Metallic

Dark Moon Blue Metallic

Ebony Twilight Metallic

Cinnabar Metallic

Satin Steel Metallic

Burnished Bronze Metallic

Summit White

Six of the seven 2021 Buick Envision colors are extra-cost hues with an additional charge of $495 for each option.

Additionally, the availability of the colors varies slightly between the different Envision trim levels, which include Preferred, Essence, and Avenir. For instance, Rich Garnet Metallic is exclusive to Avenir while Burnished Bronze Metallic is restricted and may not be applied to Avenir models.

Those interested in purchasing a 2021 Buick Envision should know that inventory of the new crossover is limited as of this writing, with U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC sales Duncan Aldred stating that there is currently less than one unit per dealer in the U.S. as of last week, with the vehicle only beginning arriving at ports in December. However, that should improve well into the 2021 calendar year.

  1. So, every color shown but one is $500 markup? General motors grows more nervy with each passing day.

  2. Every time I see the new Envision it p****s me off!!

It’s SUCH an attractive SUV and a compelling package. One of the best that GM has done in the last 10-15 years.
And then GM had to ruin it by producing it in China. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

    1. Very true. It’s actually quite nice but no American should even consider buying it. So much of US industry is lost to Communist China and GM will for certain move all of their automotive manufacturing there too if they see they can get away with it. The infamous GM bean counters only have allegiance to pinching pennies; not to American workers. The only backstop is if Americans refuse to enable them.

    1. With Buicks from China and Korea, and Chevies also from Korea, I find myself asking when GM will become a vehicle importer, and not a vehicle manufacturer?

  5. So disappointed in this vehicle!
Why would you make 5 colors metallic and a flat white, instead of a metallic white?
Waited for this vehicle, now I’m buying something else!

  6. I checked one of these over yesterday and was disappointed in several aspects. The cargo area seemed small with the back seat up. The cloth seat in the vehicle I sat in seemed hard and the interior looked like something out of a Chevy and didn’t seem special other than the larger infotainment screen. This of course was an ST package car with the nasty looking black rims that look inappropriate on a Buick . I like the ST wheels on the Enclave so much better! I also was disappointed with the cheap looking black plastic blank outs where fog lamps should reside and the fake exhaust cut outs in the rear bumper. And where is the overhead holder for sun glasses?

Its a nice enough looking vehicle and seems to have decent front and second passenger seating, the infotainment screen is the perfect size and kudos for Buick integrating it in instead of tacking it on. I do think they need to darken the optional tan interior choice as it’s so light there already was a stain forming on the edge of the driver’s seat from people getting in and out. I also liked that the visors were vinyl instead of cloth which makes the easier to clean and overall other than the form seats the interior was pleasant enough. Haven’t driven one yet but it seems from reviews that this is a smooth nice driving vehicle so will have to investigate that further. The Avenir trim level is the best looking of the bunch!
