2021 Buick Envision Already Being Offered With $500 Cash Rebate

The 2021 Buick Envision only began arriving at ports in the United States last month, and is now trickling into dealerships, but already General Motors is attempting to attract buyers to the crossover with a small cash rebate lease promotion.

Through the GM Lease Loyalty and Lease Conquest promotion, buyers of the 2021 Buick Envision can receive a $500 cash rebate on the crossover. To qualify for this promotion, the buyer must present proof of a 2016 model year or newer GM or non-GM lease, and must lease the new vehicle through GM Financial.

Pricing for the 2021 Buick Envision starts at $32,995 for the entry-level Preferred trim level including destination. For this price, buyers will receive standard equipment such as QuietTuning technology with Active Noise Cancellation and an eight-inch color touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The mid-range Essence trim, meanwhile, starts at $36,995 and adds features like 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, heated front seats, a 10-inch Buick Infotainment system, and a hands-free programmable power liftgate with LED logo projection.

The range-topping Avenir trim is priced from $41,200 and brings high-end features like 20-inch wheels, heated front and rear outboard seating and an HD surround vision camera system, among more.

The 2021 Envision, which represents the second generation of the compact crossover nameplate, comes standard with front-wheel drive, although a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system is available across all trim levels for an $1,800 premium. The only available engine is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY, which produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The turbo four is paired exclusively with a GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

The new version of the crossover rides on the GM E2 platform, which it shares with the Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover. It is produced at the GM Jinqao plant in Shanghai, China for export to North America and for local consumption in China.

  1. When the Mulroney says ‘Made in China’, they’ve gotta do something. The last China-made Envision carried $6,750 in rebates and I think were still hard for dealers to move. This one is much-improved but still hails from a communist nation that seeks to dominate the world. Why would any American feed that? There are much better choices than the Buick Envision that are made in the United States or other democracies where their citizens live free.

  2. could someone tell me why i should buy a base fwd envision when i can buy a fully loaded mazda cx5 awd with more horsepower for only a few thousand more?

    1. Uhm… wait, I have this. Because some folks might not want to spend a few thousand more? Just a thought…

      1. in that case they should just buy the carbon edition fwd cx5 because it costs a couple thousand less than the base envision with more horsepower.

        1. Go for it. Some people want a Buick that’s why they build them.

    2. Here we go again with steve’s Mazda obsession. I sell them. The Mazda is in no way even close to Buick. And you are quite wrong on the pricing in terms of your “several thousands” comment. First, a “comparable” (not so) Mazda CX5 GT front drive for 2021 is about $31,500. Move on up, and you very quickly find yourself shelling out nearly $40,000 for a Mazda CX5!! Only a fool would do such a thing. So let me think on this one: I totally loaded Envision Avenir or a CX5 Signature? No brainer. Buick wins hands down.

So go back to drooling over your Mazda’s and go to a different site if you are so into Japanese cars.

  3. I drive an Enclave Avenir and was looking at the new Envision Avenir for next car which looks great but why did they go cheap. Massage seats only for the driver not passenger, the old Envision had Rainsense wipers which appear to be gone from new Envision and no two tone interior as shown in the Chinese version. The XT4 has everything for a few bucks more and not built in China.

  4. Made in China.
    You can keep it.
I wouldn’t buy it if it was $5,000 rebate.

  5. Who could have Envisioned so many anti China comments. Not on this site. Nice vehicle, and one of the better built in the GM portfolio. Maybe the best built.

  6. Did I understand correctly that the Avenir does not get the twin clutch AWD as standard?
