Vossen Wheels Sending Season’s Greetings With The C8 Corvette: Video

If we had to pick one vehicle from the current General Motors portfolio to take Christmas tree shopping, we’d probably choose a pickup truck like the Chevy Silverado 1500, or perhaps one of its long roof SUVs like the Chevy Suburban, as these vehicles have the capability required to weather a winter storm and are large enough to stow a Christmas tree on. On the other hand, if there’s one vehicle in the automaker’s lineup that we’d probably avoid for this task, it’d be the C8 Corvette.

Aftermarket wheel manufacturer Vossen doesn’t seem overly concerned with practicality when it comes to Christmas tree shopping. The company recently released a video on its Instagram page wishing its social media followers a very Merry Christmas, which showed a modified C8 Corvette Stingray coupe with a full-size Christmas tree strapped to its removable hardtop roof. The short video clip then shows the matte black Vette taking off on the highway at considerable speed.

“Not one pine needle was lost in the making of this video,” the accompanying Instagram description for the video reads. “Happy Holidays from all of us at Vossen Wheels”

We don’t have complete details on the modified C8 Corvette in the video, although it appears to feature a matte black vinyl wrap (or perhaps paint?) along with aftermarket Vossen wheels and a body kit with a custom rear lip spoiler, side skirts and front splitter. It may also have an aftermarket exhaust system of some sort, as the vehicle’s standard 6.2L LT2 V8 engine sounds particularly aggressive in this short social media clip.
