Hummer Hellcat Rendering Puts Off-Road Face On Dodge Dragster

Digital rendering technology can be used to create some pretty amazing automotive designs. Other times, it can be used to create bizarre mashups no one ever asked for. Unfortunately, this Hummer Hellcat rendering falls into the latter category.

Produced by Instagram user @superrenderscars, this Hummer Hellcat mashup plasters the iconic Hummer H2 grille and fascia onto the front end of Dodge’s supercharged drag racer. The fascia includes the polished metal surrounds we’re used to seeing on the H2, as well as a series of vertical slats to let in fresh air. On either side of the intake is a pair of headlamps, which bracket the slats alongside square, orange corner lamps.

Under the grille, we find, the Hummer logo on display, while the lower black surrounds house a pair of round fog lamps. The lower bumper section is finished in silver, terminating with a prominent splitter done in black. Up top, the H2 hood vent grille completes the Hummer influences.

The rest of the rendering is pure Dodge Hellcat, specifically the Demon model, riding on skinny tires up front and fat rubber in the rear to help it charge down the drag strip.

Although fans of both models are likely shocked and dismayed to see this odd pairing, it’s probably worth pointing out that the Hummer’s broad, wide fascia treatment fits the Dodge Hellcat front end, at least in terms of proportions. Both models emphasize the horizontal aspect with narrow upper grille sections, adding extra visual width, so with that in mind, this rendering is at least on point there.

As for the rest of it, well, we’ll leave it up to the readers to make up their own mind on whether or not this rendering should even see the light of day. Something tells us most folks will be reluctant to give their approval.

    1. Nothing to write about? How about some history on some of our good old Bowtie muscle cars from days past. I’m sure alot of us old school folks wouldn’t mind and some of the younger folks would enjoy it. Anything would be better than stuff like this, heck, not even GM product! My 2¢

What was bad just got even worse here with this attempt.

  9. I agree with everyone above! Please stop with these “renderings” articles. Please.

I know a few people complained about the left over new cars (2 or 3 year old new cars still for sale) and the “bring a trailer” type articles, but they are at least news worthy. These rendering articles are really just stupid.

    1. Kevin, GMA has nothing to do with development or production of GM cars. GMA is really nothing more than an online blog/car magazine. What you said would be no different than telling Car and Driver to stop putting stupid articles and instead spend on the interiors.

  12. There is no limit to GM content avail to write about. If GMA thinks their target demo isn’t into classics they are wrong. Probably have to promote more 80’s/90’s content but that’s cray better stuff than F’n renderings.😬

    1. I don’t like these “Rendered” things either and I usually try not to waste time reading/ commenting on them.

But to all of you above complaining about it, I have some news for you:

      THEY WORK!

Y’ all are feverishly clicking away, filling up the comment section. Putting your eyes on all those Ads, whether you think you notice them or not.

I see lots of substantive items here that go completely ignored. Especially the ones relaying even moderately positive news for/about GM.

“Rendered” postings (especially the sillier ones like this one) are like “Negative” politcal campaigns. Survey after survey says people hate them. But the fact is no one pays any attention to the race until the mud starts flying.

  15. I stg Gma will write these articles abt renderings that look like they were done by a 5 year old kid. They will barely post any decent renderings. Also their own “renderings” are not very news worthy, for they imagine things in different colors. Give some unknown artists that produce some good renderings an article or two. I don’t get the point of seeing a hummer and hellcat crossover, when we could be seeing innovative designs of Cadillac pickups and other things. SMH

In addition, they know what types of cars are susceptible to higher risk as well as higher risk they have the higher the particular premium price. Understanding the basic basics regarding car insurance will assist you to choose the right style of insurance policy that could take care of your family needs in case you happen to be involved in an accident.
