General Motors has released yet another teaser image for the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV, this time revealing the upcoming battery-electric crossover’s LED headlight design.
This 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV headlight features a narrow, slim design with and incorporates LED daytime running lights and sequential turn signals. A sequential turn signal flashes in sequence in the direction of the signal, more clearly communicating the direction in which you wish to turn to fellow road users. The automaker also released a short teaser video showing the sequential turn signal in action, which is embedded at the end of this article.
The automaker previously released a teaser showing the Bolt EUV’s side silhouette, revealing its upright shape and portions of its headlights and taillights. The automaker also teased its redesigned interior last month, releasing a video showing the vehicle’s new infotainment screen and energy flow graphics in action. We’re expecting the updated version of the Chevy Bolt EV to also feature the same wide infotainment screen and energy flow graphics.
GM previously confirmed the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV will be the first Bowtie-badged vehicle available with its hands-free Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. The automaker has only offered the technology on Cadillac products to date, but has plans to expand its availability across its portfolio in the coming years.
The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV and Chevy Bolt EV are expected to share the existing GM BEV2 platform and will likely tap the same battery and electric powertrain, as well. The two vehicles will be built alongside each other at the GM Lake Orion plant in Orion Township, Michigan. GM says the Bolt EUV will enter production next summer, so we’re expecting a full debut sometime in the next few months or so. For now, be sure to check out how its new sequential turn signals look in the video below.

so today the ford mach e came out. at msrp, the lowest trim costs the same as the bolt. with the 7500 tax break, it costs much less.
even if gm had the tax break, who is going to get the bolt over the mach e? gm is screwed.
lmao
You really believe Ford is in a better position in terms on EV development? Open your eyes, son.
You should check out the reviews of the Mach E. It certainly doesn’t look like they are behind anyone on EVs.
am i going to have to wait until 2025 to be impressed?
i’m not absolutely gaga over the mach e. that huge tablet looks ridiculous. the door handles for the front doors look like a joke. whereas the rear doors have no handles at all.
but i’d take this over the bolt ev/euv any day.
Or maybe you’re easily impressed.
He said the bolt/nolt euv not 3 years from now and he has a point. I’d buy the machE first of today’s pickings!
Welp this is simply wrong. A Bolt and Mach e aren’t even close to the same price. Bolts regularly sell for under 30k new a bottom barrel mach e with rebate costs 35k… That’s gotta be like 15% more expensive or something… Which I consider a lot.
Base Mach-E is $43,895, which puts it in the same ballpark as a Bolt Premier at $41,895 (2020 price)
Obviously nobody is paying that much for a Bolt and few will pay that little for a Mach-E though.
But, and this is important, you still get the $7500 tax credit on the Mach-E.
the fact that gm has to discount the bolt nearly $10K to compete is worrisome.
in los angeles, i see a slew of them at around $25K on autotrader. that’s a fair price but how does that help gm if the market is telling them the bolt is about 33% overpriced?
the machE at $35K is well-priced.
People looking online do not realize that GM drops their pants on the Bolt. All they will see is the Ford Mach-E Price and that it will get $7500 Rebate and see that there is no way in hell they will chose the Bolt over the Mach-E.
I hate Ford (except new Bronco) but you must be dilusional if you think any NON GM Fanboy Customer choses the dowdy Bolt over the Mach-E. The Bolt as I have been stating for a year now should be starting at 25K as it uses old EV Tech.
But a Bolt is BORING, and a Mustang is cool and exciting. Even if it costs $5k more I would rather have a Mustang over a Bolt. The Mach E is rear wheel drive, 0-60 in 5.5s in base model, and just looks cool. The Bolt gives me no emotions like a Corolla.
I absolutely agree. I’m a Chevy fan, but I would buy a Mach E over a Bolt without even a second thought. From all the YouTube reviews so far, it looks like almost everyone who drove the Mach E was impressed. Even if the Mach E Mustang costs $5000 more than a Bolt, I’d rather have the Mustang. Ford is making smarter moves than GM right now, they got an electric Mustang crossover. While GM only has a Hummer (which I don’t think many people will buy) and a boring Bolt. The only way for GM to compete is to see how the 7th gen Camaro will do.
If that rendering is correct, then it’s a shame this is going to look so dumb.
the mach e went to the gym. looks like the bolt euv went to sunday school.
Is GM selling the Bolt at a loss, or is it just priced way higher than it needs to be?
bigly loss. dealers are probably forced to carry them in exchange for high demand trucks.
So any other models come from Ford other then Mocked E?, also tell what’s the best selling E/Vs outside of Tesla. Both should give you answers on GM E/V development.
But a Mustang is cool, it’s rear wheel drive. Even in the Mach E, the standard is rear wheel, and the all wheel drive has rear wheel bias. Bolts are boring. I daily drive a Camaro and GM is my favourite car company, but I would MUCH RATHER spend my money on a Mustang than a Boring Bolt. When I drive to work and back everyday, I want to feel excited about driving my car. Life’s too short to drive boring cars.
The Bolt is so ugly, like does it really cost that much more to design a cool looking car??? At least the leaked slimmer headlights look decent. But that blue rendering is disgusting.
There are some attention-grabbing time limits in this article however I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There’s some validity however I will take maintain opinion till I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we wish extra! Added to FeedBurner as properly
