Chevrolet Trailblazer Discount Offers $1,835 Off Activ Model In December 2020

Chevrolet Trailblazer discount offers during December 2020 include employee discount pricing for all buyers nationwide as part of the ongoing Chevy Employee Discount Sales Event. To clarify, the total discount is dependent on the MSRP of the purchased vehicle. In the case of the headlining $1,835 reduction, the discounted 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is an Activ all-wheel drive model with an MSRP of $28,960.

Chevy is also extending competitive, ultra-low mileage lease offers to all qualified lessees, and eligible current lessees receive the added incentive of a reduction in the amount due at signing and the security deposit is waived. Notably, the lowest observed Trailblazer lease offer is exclusive to select markets.

Interested shoppers should note that, in most cases, the more affordable lease offer is exclusive to models equipped with the standard turbocharged 1.2-liter LIH three-cylinder engine, which comes paired with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) rather than the available nine-speed automatic, which is instead paired with the turbocharged 1.3-liter L3T three-cylinder engine.

  1. I am very disappointed to see that GM now uses a CVT transmission in the Chevy Trailblazer instead of the 9–spd tranny. I am not aware if GM will manufacture the CVT in house, or they may source outside (not that it makes any difference!). Judging from the problems with CVTs in Nissan vehicles, this may not only end up being a major disaster for GM, but could be a major engineering and marketing disaster. The CVT is marketed as very economical from a fuel consumption standpoint – but highly questionable reliability. GM does not need another VEGA, or in-house diesel engines like the Oldsmobile 350 c.i. disaster!

Also, does Buick use the same CVT in their econo-boxes? I believe the CVT could end up being the worst marketing disaster for ANY automobile manufacturer – looks good on paper, but very difficult and expensive to repair so far.

    1. Incorrect. The 9-speed is the standard on all-wheel drive models, which also require the 1.3 liter engine. The CVT is the standard on front-wheel drive, available with the 1.2 or 1.3 liter.
