Chevrolet Malibu Discount Offers $3,559 Off RS Model Pricing In December 2020

Chevrolet Malibu discount offers during December lower the price of both 2020 and 2021 models of the American-made sedan. More specifically, a $2,000 cash allowance plus employee discount pricing is available for 2020 Chevy Malibu models during the Chevy Employee Discount Sales Event. Meanwhile newer 2021 Chevy Malibu models receive a $1,750 discount. As we’ve previously reported, the automaker ceased all manufacturer-backed promotions for 2019 Malibu models during Q3 2020.

In addition to the cashback rebates, the Bow Tie brand is also offering a competitive, nationwide lease offer for 2020 and 2021 Malibu LT models, with special incentives for current owners and lessees of select non-GM vehicles.

The Incentives

Nationwide Chevrolet Malibu discount offers during December 2020 are as follows:

  • Featured Purchase Offers:
    • 2020 Malibu: $2,000 customer cash + employee discount which varies according to vehicle MSRP
      • Example: $2,000 + $1,559 employee discount = $3,559 total rebate on Malibu RS
      • Excludes base L trim level
    • 2021 Malibu: $1,750 customer cash
      • Excludes base L trim level
  • Finance Offer: 0.9 percent APR for up to 72 months
  • Featured Lease Offer: $219 per month for 36 months
    • Applies to 2020 and 2021 Malibu LT
    • $2,109 due at signing for eligible current lessees (after all offers)
    • $0 security deposit
    • Ultra low-mileage lease with 10,000 miles per year

All of the above Chevrolet Malibu discount offers are valid through January 4th, 2021.

For reference, here are the starting MSRPs for 2020 and 2021 Malibu models, destination freight charge included:

  • L – $22,970
  • LS – $24,095
  • RS – $25,095
  • LT – $27,495

It’s worth noting that the 2020 Chevrolet Malibu did receive a few changes and updates after undergoing a mid-cycle refresh for the 2019 model year. And for 2021, the ‘bu receives even more changes and updates, including the addition of Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

  1. great lease deal! I had a 2016 Malibu lease, great car. Does anyone know if they will be switching out the LTG 2.0 for the LSY in the US Malibus any time soon? I think to make the LSY a lower cost option upgrade for the Malibu would help drive sales. Rather than only having it in the Premier and charging 10 grand more for a little extra burst.

    1. Yea exactly. I would love to see the 2.0L turbo available for the lower trims like the RS. Some people don’t like leather seats and panoramic roofs, so why make them pay for it if all they want is a little more power in the engine?

Also the LTG is way better than the LSY. The LSY makes less HP less torque AND HAS WORSE GAS MILEAGE. I hope the LTG engine stays around for the Malibu.

      1. Thats exactly what I want for my 2016 1.5 LT! Great car, but it could use some more pep off the line. Though, I do enjoy the turbo! I dont need leather seats, moonroof, dual climate, or heated seats.

        1. Yep exactly. Even if the 2.0T engine was only offered in the Malibu, I would rather have a Malibu Premier with cloth seats and a regular steel roof. I don’t want leather seats or a glass roof EVEN IF IT WAS FREE LOL.

      2. I have the LTG in my Regal TourX, it’s a great engine. That said, I would take either of the 2.0 turbos in a low cost option for the Malibu.
