ACS Composite, a Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro specialist based in the Lachine borough of Montreal, Quebec, recently uploaded a video which could be of interest to anyone wondering which OEM C8 Corvette floor mat to get for their mid-engine C8 Corvette.
Jonathan of ACS Composite starts out by showing Chevy’s three C8 Corvette floor mat options: the simple, “nothing too fancy” basic mats, the upgraded two-tone carpeted mats with red perimeter stitching and a Stingray logo, and the all-weather, heavy-duty “Jake” rubber floor mats and carpet liners, which Jonathan will go on to discuss further as he fits them to an orange C8 Corvette. Before that, though, he points out that an owner could use the rubber mats for everyday use and then fit the carpeted mats on special occasions such as shows.
Installing the floor mats does not take long. Jonathan points out that they are a “really nice, tight and snug fit” with no interference around the pedals. The mats also deliver a snug fit elsewhere in the vehicle, including the C8’s rear luggage compartment as well as the single liner for the front trunk / frunk. While fitting the latter he mentions that cleaning the front trunk upholstery is difficult, “so you should really install this as early as possible if you can”.
The entire video outlining the three C8 Corvette floor mat options provides just over six minutes’ worth of quietly satisfying and informative entertainment for anyone who likes to keep a C8 Corvette – or indeed any other car – in good condition.
The C8 Corvette floor mats are sold at any Chevrolet dealer as well as online via the Chevrolet accessories portal. Plus, ACS Composite also sells the floor mats alone for $239 and the floor mats and cargo liners together (plus a free bottle of ReNew) for $394.
