Earlier this week, GM Authority exclusively reported on the new 2021 Camaro Shock And Steel Edition package, which is currently available to order. Today, we’re back with another exclusive on the Camaro’s latest Shock And Steel package with news that the styling upgrade is now available in two new paint colors.
When it was introduced with the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro, the Shock And Steel Edition package was only available in conjunction with Satin Steel or Shock with regard to exterior paint options. Now, the latest 2021 Camaro Shock And Steel Edition package expands available paint options to include Black and Summit White, GM Authority has learned. The expansion brings total available paint options with the aesthetics package to four.
Following its introduction with the 2020 model year Chevrolet Camaro, the Shock And Steel Edition package was later discontinued with the introduction of the 2021 Camaro. However, as GM Authority was the first to report, the package was reintroduced later in the 2021 model year. Dealers can now place an order for 2021 Camaro Shock And Steel Edition models.
Offered on both the Coupe and Convertible body styles, the Shock And Steel Edition package includes a variety of tasty visual upgrades, both for the vehicle exterior and inside the cabin. The package content includes:
- Carbon Flash-painted center stripe and surrounding stripe in Silver or Shock colors
- 20-inch Blade Design aluminum wheels
- Carbon Flash-painted sideview mirrors
- Black fuel filler door with visible carbon fiber insert
- Yellow-painted brake calipers
- Body-color high-wing spoiler (Coupe only)
- Premium carpeted floor mats
- Carbon fiber instrument panel molding
- Black sueded knee pads
The 2021 Chevrolet Camaro arrives with a few small updates and changes, including the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as expanded availability of the 10-speed automatic transmission to the SS 1LE Track Performance Package. Customers are also offered the new Wild Cherry Design styling package.

This car is criminally under-rated by consumers.
Probably because so many criminals drive one.
They should give the option of another interior color besides black
I hear Crush is going away soon. Do you guys know what color is replacing it, if any?
I was at the dealer last weekend looking at a crush colored V6, he didn’t say anything about the color going away. I hope not because I’m looking at getting later in 2021 in that color.
I work at a dealer and haven’t heard of crush going away. Sounds like someone is inventing stuff
IF they are doing away with crush, they need to bring back a “true” yellow. Shock looks “baby crap green” live & in color. Just sayin.
If a baby is crapping that color, there has to be something really wrong there…
