General Motors has already added a number of parts for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer to its official accessories catalog, including a body decal package and a front plastic tubular nudge bar. Now we’re turning our attention to yet another 2021 Trailblazer accessory, the black Grille Bar Insert.
GM Accessories says the black Grille Bar Insert for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer was “designed and engineered to enhance your vehicle’s exterior,” and will help give it a more “distinctive appearance.” The plastic grille insert is also “manufactured from high-quality materials that are tested and backed by Chevrolet,” the automaker says and comes fully painted and ready to install on the vehicle.
This custom grille bar insert costs $245.00 USD from the Chevrolet Accessories catalog and comes with a warranty equivalent to the balance of the vehicle’s bumper-to-bumper coverage or 12 months / 12,000 miles.
Chevy advises buyers of this accessory grille insert for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer to use the proper cleaning products for the specific material and, if necessary, pretest the product before using it “to determine if it will alter the color and texture of the material.”
The example photo of the grille insert provided by GM Accessories shows it installed on a Mosaic Black Metallic 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. This is a poor choice, in our opinion, as the black insert blends in with the vehicle’s exterior color and makes it hard to identify. This insert is the mustache-style element that runs just below the Chevy Bowtie logo and is usually finished in chrome on stock Trailblazers. Check out this article for a full rundown on how each 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim differs from an exterior styling standpoint.
The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer starts at $19,995 in the United States. The subcompact crossover is built at the GM Incheon plant in South Korea and comes standard with a turbocharged 1.2L LIH three-cylinder engine. A turbocharged 1.3L L3T three-cylinder is available as an option. The 1.2L engine makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while the 1.3L is good for 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.

Say what you will, but I actually like that GM is making all these accessories for the Trailblazer.
We made that trailblazer popular back in the day
They need to start making upgrade performance parts for 19& up Traverse.
The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer is similar to it’s younger sibling.. the Chevrolet Trax as it’s a cute chubby little guy with a curb weight of over 3,300 lbs and what it really needs is a more robust engine than the turbocharged 1.3L 3-cyl which needs to work hard.
You can get these things up to freeway speeds pretty quickly. I’ve saw a YouTube video where a guy boosted his launch and got there in 7.9 seconds. I’ve test drove a GX and was able to get to 60 in the mid 8s. It’s way better than the outgoing LUV 1.4t, those things were terrible.
I’d be hard pressed in buying one though, even with the three cylinder, it only gets 28mpg combine in AWD mode.
I wish the 2.5L was an option on higher trims, because we all know anything exciting like the 1.6T is apparently a no go for anything in the US for some unknown reason.
Great post! I didn’t knowral of these resources and I’m going to go check them out now!
