GM Gen III/IV LS V8 Engines Get New FAST Supercharger And Cam Power Packages

Builders interested in upgrading their project vehicle’s LS V8 engine with a big, bad blower should check out FAST’s new supercharger and cam power package. Recently revealed at the ongoing SEMA360 event, the new FAST package includes an Edelbrock supercharger kit and COMP Cams kit for big power potential from GM LS V8 engines.

“The FAST engineering team extensively dyno tested various combinations of camshaft specs, valve springs and supercharger pulleys to optimize the power and efficiency of the Edelbock superchargers,” FAST states. “Dyno testing on a stock head 6.2L LS3 engine produced over 850 horsepower when running with E85 fuel.”

The new FAST package includes a pulley specifically designed for running supercharged GM LS V8 engines on E85 and race fuel, but it also comes with a different pulley designed to run on pump gas, making the latter a great choice for breaking in the engine and tuning, as well as performance driving. Additional pulley sizes are also offered.

More specifically, the kit comes with an Edelbrock 2300 TVS supercharger and integrated intercooler with a dual bar-and-plate design for chilly inlet temperatures. On the cam side of the equation, the package includes components from COMP Cams with Low Shock Technology designed specifically for supercharged engines.

Further bits and pieces in the package include matched pushrods, retainers, valve springs, locks, seals and seats, as well as drive accessory pulleys, fuel lines, fuel rails, plus all the necessary installation hardware. Customers are encouraged to customize their setup with their own fuel injectors, air intakes, and heat exchanger pumps.

The new FAST Supercharger and Cam Power Package is compatible with GM Gen III/IV LS V8 engines, including the LS1, the LS2, and the LS3. Pricing is set at $5,995.
