The C8 Corvette is offered in all sorts of fun, eye-popping colors from the factory, including Accelerate Yellow, Rapid Blue and Sebring Orange.
For Sandra Hart, though, the factory color palette for the C8 Corvette simply wasn’t going to do it. Hart is a dedicated Corvette enthusiast who recently replaced her bright pink 2014 Corvette Stingray with a 2020 Corvette, which she had wrapped in a very bright fuchsia vinyl wrap. While we realize the pinkish-purple hue won’t be for everyone, we think Hart’s car actually looks really cool – especially with the black Stingray stripe and optional High Wing Rear Spoiler enhancing its appearance.
“Finally, all finished,” Hart wrote in a Facebook comment after her new C8 Corvette was complete. “We ordered the car 478 days ago on July 24, 2019. Had the car wrapped in 3M Hot Gloss Fuchsia. We love the color. Wanted to be different. The car is still black, so when we get tired of it, we can remove the wrap.”
We think Hart’s car looks particularly good with the Sky Cool Grey Napa leather interior as well, which contrasts nicely with the exterior wrap. Hart has her own hang-ups about the light-colored seats, though, and regrets getting them over Black or another color that would be easier to keep clean.
“Need to get seat covers for the Sky cool Gray seats,” she said in another comment posted in October. “They get DIRTY real fast. The guys are going to put ceramic coating on them when they wrap the car next week. But we will get custom seat covers made for the bottom. Does anyone else notice this problem with your gray seats? Big mistake on our part.”
This is a fairly common problem with beige, white and grey-color leather. Dies from clothes, particularly denim, can easily wear off onto the leather and stain it. These seats can also be worse for showing everyday dirt and grime if they are not frequently cleaned.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a C8 Corvette covered in a bright-colored vinyl wrap. Back in July, we featured Rick Dyer’s car on the site, which features a multi-colored yellow, blue and pink wrap that is even more over-the-top than Hart’s car. These unique wraps may not be for everyone, but we love to see C8 Corvette owners having fun with their cars. After all, a sports car like the Vette is all about having fun.

perfect for ken and barbie. or maybe ken and ben.
Steve, definitely not a Barbie car. Now my hot glass pink C7 is my Barbie car. Keep safe.

I like it. I’ve owned a few pinkish rides. My Astro was hot pink and white back when those colors were the Mini-Truck thing to do and my 34 Ford sedan was bubble gum pink with purple scallops. As a custom pinstriper for 40 years, colors were my specialty. Abby-Normal colors can be good for business.
I have the same color seats in my C8. Haven’t noticed an increase in dirt or clothing stains. At least not yet, but I had the interior treated before I took delivery, so maybe my experience will be different.
Chevrolet’s C8 Corvette is like a sexy super model that looks enticing in just about anything she has on.
What is not mentioned is the bright looking Spectra Trident polished face wheels. There is a “lean,” towards chrome as still looking good on the Corvette. C7-and-before owners, have pointed out (all ages) that a chrome look is still viable. I’ve noticed (right past all the “lovin’ it,” comments) that the black rims in many cases simply mutes the C8’s looks, rather than enhancing it. That black has for a few years been the rage, doesn’t always mean that it looks mean or aggressive on a Corvette. For GM to have shut the public out of a chrome option, means that lots of customers should respond by ordering the basic rim and then purchase and aftermarket. While Bloomington Gold, Silver and Bronze awards tend to reward stock releases, there are times that GM has proven (time and again) that it doesn’t listen to the customer when it comes to wheel choices. As Americans, Corvette owners should not be penalized in any way for upgrading what are the only rims on offer. AF
I can think of colors it wouldn’t look good in, how about matte finish olive drab?
It really stands out. Not something I would want but they did right by wrapping it. Regarding the seats I use Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner and it seems to keep my platinum colored seats in my 2019 Terrain Denali from getting dirty. I just do it about once a month and have no issues.
Right. I was all damn, couldn’t they wurshed9 the b!tch first?!
Thank you so much for putting our 2020 C8 in your blog. My husband is a retired fighter pilot and he picked out the color after seeing it wrapped on a McLaren, a Lamborghini, and a Rolls-Royce. We were going to trade my crystal red C7 which was wrapped in hot gloss pink, for the C8, but my husband let me keep it since I take my three yorkies with me when I go shopping. Now, we have two corvettes. The C8 does not have the space for my dogs. Someone backed into my C7 and ripped the wrap and ran. When we took the wrap off to see the damage, there was absolutely nothing. The wrap protected my car and the paint job was just like it came off the factory floor six years ago. My husband insists on wrapping any new car we purchase. It was my son’s advice to get a black C8, so we wouldn’t have to wrap the door or trunk jams. We had the sky cool gray seats ceramic coated, so that took care of the dirt problem. I just told my husband to put a towel down when he wears jeans while driving. We know the color is not for everyone, but we live in Las Vegas and wanted something different. I put the car on Facebook and have over 700 likes. You have to see the car in the daylight. A big thanks to Purple Flare Wraps in Las Vegas.
When is the Forrest Green metallic with dark saddle interior coming
Ya’ll and your “Forrest green” nonsense. Yuk. Just YUK!
The wheels need to be BLACK to match the rest of the black bits on the car. The FUCHIA and BLACK look just fantastic but the third color of the wheels is a real mismatch.
To keep the seats clean KEEP THE DOGS OUT OF THE CAR.
Hate black rims on the corvette. I think it dulls the car. My son loves them but my husband and I don’t like black rims so we picked the best choice that GM offered. I don’t think the wheels are a mismatch. They match the seats. My dogs are ALWAYS in one of my fabulous dog carriers that I make when I travel with them in my C7. They are never on the seats. There is no room for my dogs in the C8 anyway. Keep safe.
The car of Ms. California 1959..😉🙂🙂
Thank you very much, Sandra, for your excellent explanation for the wheels color and the dog transporter (cage) and I now do agree with your reasoning. Didn’t mean to disparage your choice of wheel color but also didn’t understand the association of interior color lining up with the wheel color.
For me, I have 2 C6’s one white and the other silver and they both have chrome wheels, but that was the way they were when I bought them from the dealer. I wasn’t enamored with the dealers choice at first but over the years I have learned to accept it and the color combination has grown more acceptable to me since.
How do you get a C8 in this color; Chevy site does not offer this color even as an upgrade?
