Bear Decides To Grab A Meal In Chevy Silverado Bed: Video

Winter will be here before you know it, and with its approach, some of the wildlife out there is getting ready for a long nap by gorging on every scrap of food they can find. That includes the black bear seen in the following video, which apparently found something tasty in the bed of this Chevy Silverado.

The video was posted online over the weekend, showing an event that occurred November 1st, 2020, in Ketchikan, Alaska.

“Rudy, my cousin, came back from rescuing his boat to find a bear in the back of his truck wasn’t moving for nothing so we let him stay,” reads the video description.

As seen in the video, this bear is far too interested in whatever the Chevy Silverado owner left in the bed to even really notice the group of humans going about their business. Even when the driver backs the pickup down a boat launch, the bear continues to chow down on the good stuff in the bed.

This particular Chevy Silverado is equipped with large fender flares and new aftermarket wheels. However, we’re not sure what it’s rated at when it comes to bear-resistant coatings in the bed.

Later in the video, the bear can be seen walking along the top of the Chevy Silverado, finally jumping off the hood and heading towards the woods, much to the amusement of the onlookers.

While the bear certainly looks pretty adorable with its rain-soaked fur and loping gait, it’s important to remember that this isn’t some pet – this thing is a wild animal with the potential to do some serious harm to the Chevy Silverado and its owners should it feel threatened. Luckily, all the bear was interested this time was whatever was in the bed of the pickup, but still, it’s not recommended to operate a truck in conditions like this.
