After ramping up production of the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, and now that all trim levels and configurations are available to order in the American market, General Motors has just launched the full-size SUV in the Middle East. The automaker announced the arrival of the fifth-generation Tahoe in the countries that make up the Southwest Asian subregion, where Chevrolet’s iconic utility vehicle is highly regarded.
In fact, GM claims that the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is “truly made for the Middle East,” as it gained more regional consumer feedback than ever before during the development process of the SUV. As such, the next-generation Tahoe will be able to further meet the needs of the region with class-leading interior space, technology, powertrains and driving dynamics.
“The Tahoe is a legend in the region with a loyal following that swears by its ability to balance performance and practicality. The all-new Chevrolet Tahoe will re-forge that legend,” said President and Managing Director at GM Africa and Middle East, Luay Al Shurafa, in a statement. “We’ve listened to what both our regional and international customers love about the Tahoe and cranked everything up to deliver the most capable, most confident and most connected Tahoe ever, with even more choices than before. I have every confidence that the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe will thrill and delight our customers in the Middle East,” he added.
Based on that unprecedented level of feedback, the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe comes to the Middle East with four distinctive trim levels: LS, LT, Z71 and Premier. This is the first time that the Z71 trim has been available as a standalone variant rather than an option package, which sets itself apart with a best-in-class 34.9-degree approach angle, making it ideal for tackling the toughest dunes and off-road adventures in the region.
All trims come standard with the naturally aspirated 5.3L L84 V8 engine that develops 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. The base LS is equipped with a two-wheel drivetrain, but from the LT onwards, four-wheel drive is included. Additionally, the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension is standard on the Z71 and optional on the Premier.
For its part, the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe’s cabin is not only the most spacious, sophisticated and refined in its category, but it also boasts features specifically designed the needs of Middle East customers. There’s a cooled compartment in the center console, powered by a dedicated compressor, which can accommodate up to six 17-ounce (500-milliliter) bottles as well as road trip snacks. The console fridge is standard in the Tahoe Z71 and optional on all other trim levels.
The all-new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is now on sale at the official Chevy dealer network in the Middle East countries, with an abundance of technological features along with up to five high-definition screens. They include the central infotainment touchscreen of up to 10.2 inches in size, and eight-inch digital instrument panel, 15-inch head-up display and two 12.6-inch entertainment screens in the rear-seat area. Prices vary according to the country in the region and can be consulted on Chevrolet Arabia’s official website.
