All 2021 Cadillac Models Feature Standard Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto

The entirety of the new 2021 Cadillac lineup will feature wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto as standard.

As reported by our sister publication, Cadillac Society, every 2021 model year Cadillac will come with the wireless infotainment features right from the factory. That includes the 2021 Cadillac CT4, the 2021 Cadillac CT5, the 2021 Cadillac XT4, the 2021 Cadillac XT5, the 2021 Cadillac XT6, and the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade / Escalade ESV.

What’s more, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are both standard regardless of the trim level selected.

These days, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are more or less the standard in vehicle-smartphone integration. The features enable the driver to send phone functions and apps to the infotainment screen for an intuitive user experience.

Following an initial pairing process, the wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto systems will automatically connect to the user’s device as soon as the vehicle is started, even without taking the device out of a pocket or purse.

Coupling wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto with wireless phone charging functionality enables a totally cable-free experience, with the phone staying connected and the battery topped off simply by resting the device on the charge pad.

For those users that prefer a wired connection between their smartphone and the vehicle infotainment system, the wired functionality will remain concurrent with the fully wireless system.

  1. It’s not accurate to say that wireless CarPlay is the standard. Wired CarPlay has become the norm, while more and more vehicles (like all 2021 Cadillac models) are rolling out support for the wireless version.

    1. What exactly are you saying, what’s your point?

  2. As a brand, Cadillac *should* have leading edge technology as standard equipment across all trim levels – it should be part of ‘the Cadillac experience’.

Somebody was a bit lazy in finding pictures for this story, I see…couldn’t find anything better than an ATS-V interior shot for a story about 2021 models, eh? …lol
