2021 Yenko Silverado Off-Road Truck Now Available

For more than three decades, Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) has made a name for itself developing high-powered performance builds for various General Motors vehicles, with recent products including the 750-horsepower 2021 GMC Syclone, and the four-figure 2021 Stage II Yenko/SC Chevy Camaro. Now, SVE has announced availability for the new 2021 Yenko Silverado, a supercharged supertruck laying down an impressive 800 horses.

To make that output figure a reality, the 2021 Yenko Silverado pickup rocks a custom-built 378 cubic-inch (6.2L) V8 engine based on the GM Small Block LT1. The engine connects to a six-speed automatic transmission that was upgraded to handle all that muscle, and feeds a 4WD system.

Complementary upgrades include new Brembo brakes, which come with new six-pot front calipers and 16.1-inch Duralife vented rotors. The 2021 Yenko Silverado also comes with SVE’s BDS suspension lift kit, which adds an additional four inches of height plus upgraded Fox shocks front and back, as well as a heavy-duty rear sway bar.

In terms of aesthetics, the 2021 Yenko Silverado gets unique graphics, as well as a hood insert that is “manufactured from OEM-quality high-impact composite material finished in gloss body color with flat black louvers,” per a recent SVE press release.

The supercharged pickup rolls on unique 12-spoke, one-piece aluminum wheels sized at 20 inches by 10 inches front and rear. The wheels get a matte finish, while the rim gets either a silver, black, or body-color finish. The wheels are also wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grappler LT295/60R20 off-road tires.

Final touches include a custom composite tailgate and a new grille bar, both of which are stamped with the Yenko/SC logo. SVE is offering the new 2021 Yenko Silverado in any of the factory colors, as well as with a Crew Cab, or Double Cab body style.

Interested buyers can order one from their Chevy dealer. Only 50 units are slated for production, each of which is backed by a three-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty.

  1. Nice!!!!!!! But…..What is the price tag? And, only 50 total being built. That alone, will drive the price out site for almost everyone. This is a continuation, of the ’60’s COPO idea. Don Yenko, would be, both happy and sad. The idea is kool, but the way it’s being brought forward now, is way beyond what Don would have desired. His plan was to offer, fast and unique vehicles for a decent price. I guess that idea went out the window years ago. Rest in peace Don.

  4. Nice looking truck. I personally like big horsepower in trucks. It’s pointless, but who cares! The TRX is also a nice looking truck. I do wonder how this one compares in price to the TRX?

  5. What would Don Yenko say about this?

    1. See my above post. Don would be both happy and not happy. His idea, was to do what the OEM’s weren’t doing on a every day process. With GM’s “NEW” COPO deals, the factory makes the complete vehicles. There is no dealer workup at all. Don wheeled and dealed to get certain things done, and then put his personal touch on each and everyone. AND, the prices were somthing almost anyone could afford. The new COPO’s are only a total of 50, and will go through a price war to be able to get one. Just not the same!

  6. I’m curious to know what transfer case they used. That’s a LOT of horsepower through one, but I’ll confess I haven’t followed GM trucks the last couple decades. If that’s the stock t-case, but being fed another 200+ HP over stock (I assume more like 300), at least we know the t-cases should last in the normal trucks!

  8. I’m convinced that at some point it somehow became profitable, or at least advantageous politally, to NOT build vehicles people want (Government Motors?). The Raptor came out in 2010. GM’s response? Nothing. Now more than a decade later they come out w/ something killer, but psyche! It won’t be marketed to the masses. I’ve been a GM guy for 30 yrs, tho I’m really not sure why anymore.
