The 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban usher in an all-new, next-generation overhaul for both full-size SUV nameplates. Now, there’s a selection of performance accessories on offer for those buyers looking to add an extra dash of sportiness to the mix.
First up is a new Air Intake Upgrade System, which is compatible with 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban models equipped with either the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gas engine, or the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gas engine. The new intake reduces intake restriction by 13 percent for the 5.3L V8 and 17 percent for the 6.2L V8, and comes with a dry media filter that adds a little extra pop to the engine bay. The new intake is available only as an LPO level item, and is priced at $625.
For those customers lusting after a new internal combustion soundtrack in back, Chevrolet Performance is also offering a new cat-back exhaust for the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban. This bolt-on system is offered with either a single side-exit tip, or dual rear-exit tips, and reduces engine backpressure by up to 30 percent. Power gains include 11 horsepower and 6 pound-feet of torque for the dual-exit system on the 6.2L V8, 7 horsepower and 4 pound-feet of torque for the single side-exit system on the 5.3L V8, and 4 horsepower and 2 pound-feet of torque for the dual-exit system on the 5.3L V8 engine. Pricing is set at $2,145 for the dual-exit system, and $1,645 for the single-exit system.
Finally, Chevrolet Performance offers new front and rear brake upgrades, which include six-piston Brembo calipers clamping larger Duralife rotors in front, and color-matched rear calipers for the rear. Pricing is set at $2,895 for the front upgrade, and $575 for the rear upgrade.
“This core group of Chevrolet Performance upgrades are designed to help increase horsepower, reduce airflow restriction and enhance brake system thermal capacity, all without voiding your New Vehicle Limited Warranty,” the automaker states. “Whichever Chevrolet Performance parts you choose, rest assured that they are seamlessly integrated with your vehicle right from design stage for fit, appearance and compatibility.”

I was expecting to see components borrowed from the Chevrolet Camaro SS like a 6.2L Cold Air Intake System Race Filter (Part Number: 84355716), American Racing Headers (P/N: CAV8-16178300LSNC), High-Stall Torque Converter System (P/N: P/N 24290897) and Rear Small Brake System (P/N: 84396515) as these are things would get the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban community excited.
Shouldn’t this be base equipment when going for the biggest engine?
The Problem with the brake upgrade, I did the Brembo brakes for my 2015 Yukon Denali . Be aware the spare 18 in will Not fit over the front Brembos . They never informed me. Gm answer take the tire off the back and use it on the front, so a 2 tire change for 1flat.
What changes in performance will we see with the new air intake?
Expensive wow
When will the intake and exhaust be available for the 2021 tahoe 6.2l. My local dealership does not list them yet
Where do view and purchase these upgrades? I understand there was an issue of performance parts being an enigma and unable to find and/or purchase even for dealers for the previous body type? Will this be true for the 2021 models in your opinion?
thank you
