The 2020 Corvette Stingray is currently rolling out to select international markets, including the Middle East. Now, following a regional debut at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show, the latest Corvette is up for grabs at regional dealers.
“The 2020 Stingray is the culmination of decades of history and experience – it is the most advanced Corvette yet,” said Chief Marketing Officer, General Motors Middle East & Africa, Kenny MacDonald. “The new layout delivers unprecedented performance and preciseness whether on road or track. We are confident that it will appeal to enthusiasts in the Middle East and exceed their expectations, especially at the price point.”
Middle East-bound units of the 2020 Corvette Stingray start at US$86,500 when equipped with the Z51 Performance Package. The new Corvette is on sale at Chevrolet dealers across the Middle East.
Buyers have the option for 12 different exterior colors, including Accelerate Yellow, Arctic White, Black, Blade Silver Metallic, Ceramic Matrix Gray, Elkhart Lake Blue, Long Beach Red, Rapid Blue, Sebring Orange, Shadow Gray, Torch Red, and Zeus Bronze.
Customers also have six interior colors to choose from on their 2020 Corvette Stingray, including Adrenaline Red, Jet Black, Morello Red, Natural Dipped, Sky Cool Gray, and Two-Tone Blue. Further customization opportunities include six seat belt colors – Blue, Black, Torch Red, Orange, Natural, and Yellow – and two optional stitching packages – Yellow and Red. The standard appointment includes a black interior and Sky Cool Gray stitching.
Middle East customers will have access to all three trim levels, including 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT.
Mounted just behind the cabin space is the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine. Figures for the Middle East-spec 2020 Corvette Stingray are the same as those for North American models, with 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque produced when equipped with the optional performance exhaust system. The V8 sends output to the rear axle by way of an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
