GM Launches ‘Chevrolet Live Store’ Digital Showroom In Brazil

General Motors continues its efforts to expand its digital shopping experience in Brazil, better suiting the needs of customers in the largest South American market, which is also Chevrolet’s second-largest market worldwide. After creating the first virtual vehicle store in the country last May, the company has just launched the Chevrolet Live Store – the first digital showroom in Brazil.

Introduced during the second quarter of the year in other South American countries, the Chevrolet Live Store platform is a new sales channel that offers an experience similar to being in a traditional dealership, but without physical barriers. This solution, available on the Chevrolet Brasil website, allows consumers to discover details of the car of their choice from the comfort and safety of their home, while being assisted by experts of the brand who will answer their questions.

“It is very important to meet all the needs of our consumers and our team. Even in the face of a challenging scenario, this project is a way to maintain proximity and attention to customers and give all possible support and tools to the sales team”, said Marketing Executive Director of GM South America, Hermann Mahnke, in a statement. “Being able to rely on technology to give us this structure is fundamental,” he finished.

Unlike what is offered in other, smaller countries, the version of the Chevrolet Live Store for Brazil will offer a sequence of live broadcasts about the brand’s products, similar to following a an auto show video stream. These will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., showing all the brand’s products with full real-time interaction.

The Chevrolet Live Store showroom is fully integrated with dealership sales teams, allowing viewers to be directed to the sellers’ WhatsApp accounts when they show interest in the cars. In addition, customers can request an appointment on the official website to receive personalized attention through a video call from a specialist to show them the vehicle and start the purchase process.

With the Chevrolet Live Store, GM strengthens its leadership as the automotive manufacturer with the most comprehensive electronic sales platform in Brazil, which has been in development for more than five years and accelerated to completion by COVID-19. The entire Chevrolet dealer network is integrated into a digital environment and the customer can buy their car without leaving home. The company states that more than 70 percent of customers start their shopping journey online.
