The GM Authority Take

After suffering a setback during the month of August, GM Korea sales increased considerably in September thanks to the solid commercial performance of the Chevrolet brand. General Motors’ largest-volume brand saw an 18 percent increase in deliveries.

The increase was due to an uptick in sales of the Chevrolet Spark, which posted its highest sales figure in the nine months that have elapsed so far this year, as well as the additional sales volume contributed by the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer.

For its part, Cadillac continued on a negative path in September, marking the fifth consecutive month that the luxury brand has experienced a contraction in the South Korean market.

Surprisingly, the all-new Cadillac CT4 and CT5 registered their first deliveries in the Asian country last month. The CT5 ranked as the brand’s best-selling model, surpassing the monthly volume of more established nameplates such as the CT6, Escalade and XT5.

  1. Korea is a GM’s one of the most important market. Daewoo’s legacy are provided about enough competitiveness to against Hyundai-Kia alliance. But headquarters aren’t gaved satisfying number’s product to them. That’s the reason why GM Korea record a low sales figure.
