The 2021 Corvette follows the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette as the second model year of the all-new eighth generation, introducing a few minor changes and updates for the nameplate. Now, new details on the 2021 Corvette accessories have emerged, indicating that the updated model will offer several new carbon fiber bits for customers looking to add extra composite tastiness to the exterior.
In a recent video posted to the Rick Corvette Conti YouTube page, the video host reveals that the 2021 Corvette will offer a new exposed carbon fiber roof bow, which adds extra composite styling to the top of the B-pillar of Chevy’s mid-engine sports car. This band of carbon fiber upgrades the styling with an extra splash of exposed weave stretching across the roof, and looks nice with the black trim around the rear engine cover and body, although Conti expresses his opinion that it only really works with the exposed carbon fiber roof to “carry that carbon fiber look into the B-pillar.”
In addition to the exposed carbon fiber roof bow, Conti says that the 2021 Corvette will also offer an exposed carbon fiber High Wing spoiler. Judging by the photos, the new piece looks to be the same shape and size as the High Wing spoiler seen before, but with an exposed carbon fiber finish.
Finally, Conti mentions an exposed carbon fiber body blade, otherwise known as a “boomerang.” This piece enhances the profile of the 2021 Corvette and should come as a nice complement for customers that add extra carbon bits elsewhere on the vehicle as well.
For now, these new 2021 Corvette accessories aren’t available on the order guide, but they certainly seem like logical additions for the second model year of this hot new vehicle. Further changes for the 2021 model year include new exterior color and stripe options, a car cover styled after the C8.R race car, and new interior color combos as well.

I’d go the opposite direction. I love the C8 but for me it needs some improvements that would be relatively easy. Change the black trim to body color as much as possible including the boomerang. Get rid of the wing spoiler and go with a traditional style spoiler in body color. I know, doesn’t work as well as a wing but sure looks a lot better. Then there’s the wheels. None of the current offerings are good. Too busy looking. GM has made some great looking wheels in the past so I know they can do it. These changes would give the car a sleeker, less broken up and less busy look. My opinion, of course.
You can get the corvette, including the boomerang, in marching body color. I saw that was red and it looked more like Ferrari.
I just picked up my HTC and fully agree. Image mine look more monochromatic, and less patchworked. I chose a dark colour to hide the contrasting dark bits which makes it look more refined imho. And yes, all the wheels look cheap…. great wheels like HRE transform the overall presence.
We went with a black HTC. The car just looks so sleek with all the trim pieces black to match, IMO.
Every 2015 to 2019 Grand Sport, and Z06 Corvette’s come with 4 cracked and bent rims. GMC refuses to fix even though they are DEFECTIVE, but ARE covered in the warranty, but they REFUSE TO FIX. They are trying to kill Corvette owner’s. DO NOT BUY ANY CORVETTE. ALL customer service calls are roughted to the Philippines. Can’t even speak to an American. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. DON’T BUY A CORVETTE, THEY ARE DEFECTIVE.
I have no idea what anyone is talking about re: cracked rims from factory.
Ummm………no.
Chevy deals with warranty on this stuff like any other part. No issues here, move along…
There are at least two class action’s regarding the C7 wheels. A friend of mine has a Z-06 with four bent wheels (per dealer) and they refuse to correct the problem.
There is an issue with the Rims on Grands sports, z06 and zr1. They really should be forged and not cast. However, this is not really the place to discuss I agree.
