This Custom Chevrolet S-10 Has An Extra Short Bed: Video

The first-generation Chevrolet S-10 is already a small pickup. The truck is less than fifteen feet long and not even five and a half feet wide, but this Chevy S-10 owner felt the need to shrink the pickup down even further.

This shrunken Chevrolet S-10 was documented by YouTuber Big J-3RD, who met the owner of the vehicle in a parking lot while running errands. We don’t have very many details on this truck, but from the video we can tell that it is a first-generation S-10 with a shrunken-down bed section. Obviously, this truck is no longer functional as a real pickup, but the owner only uses it as a recreational vehicle, so we get the feeling they won’t be missing the extra footage they chopped off the bed.

Surprisingly, a rather big engine resides under the hood of this miniature Chevrolet S-10. Power here comes from a General Motors-sourced 350 cubic-inch V8 engine, which dumps into a pair of rather loud side pipes. A cowl induction hood helps make room for the V8 in the relatively small engine bay and is joined by other minor upgrades like body-color front and rear bumpers, aftermarket alloy wheels with a gloss black finish and an aftermarket grille.

There is really no shortage of Chevrolet Camaros, Corvettes and other commonplace muscle cars at any given car meet, but it’s not every day you see a short-wheelbase Chevrolet S-10 like this. We know this custom build won’t be for everyone, yet it’s hard to criticize anyone for building a custom ride that is entirely unique.

  1. Looks sharp. It looks like he started with an S-10 blazer body. Since there is no seam between cab and box. Then grafted in the rear cab window from a pick up. I’ve had both bodys. And put LT -1 350’s in them both. One I converted to a solid axle 4×4 with turbo 350 and NP205 gear drive transfer case. It was trip to drive them both. Have fun with your toy.

  2. This is god awful ugly. Go buy a Samurai and call it a day because this is what it looks like he is trying to achieve.

  3. I think this S10 is a motorheads dream. A 350 in any of the small trucks is a beautiful thing. And the custom interior is a cherry on top. Very nice work, all around.

  4. I like custom vehicles but this is so damn stupid it’s beyond comment. That’s all I’ll say. It’s stupid

  5. I agree with Pete. It isn’t an S-10 at all. It’s a Blazer with the top half of the ass end hacked off. No body seam between the bed and cab, no truck tailgate, just a blazer with half a lobotomy. It would be cooler if it was intact, lowered properly minus the running board/tail pipes and powered by an LS engine.
