Oscar-Winning Actress Regina King To Serve As Cadillac Brand Ambassador

General Motors has announced that Emmy and Oscar-winning actress Regina King will serve as the brand ambassador for its Cadillac luxury brand as it brings the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade to market in the coming months.
“Emmy and Oscar-winning actress Regina King will serve as the brand’s ambassador and bring forth the 2021 Escalade with first-to-market technologies and bold design – part of the vehicle’s proven recipe to regain leadership in the luxury full-size SUV space,” the automaker said in a statement.
King is well-known for her 2019 performance in If Beale Street Could Talk for which she won an Oscar, along with her Emmy-award winning performance in Watchmen. King also helped GM introduce the 2021 Cadillac Escalade earlier this year, appearing in a number of promo ads for the new SUV, with this latest announcement an expansion of that existing partnership.
“The Cadillac experience is all about ambition, being hopeful and being relentless as you work toward your goals,” King said of the new partnership. “Cadillac looks to make every journey extraordinary, and we all should be striving for that.”
Cadillac says the new ad campaign featuring King, dubbed “Never Stop Arriving”, carries themes of ” bravery, resilience and overcoming obstacles.” The campaign was put together by director Dee Rees and director of photography Rachel Morrison who, along with King, strongly represent Cadillac brand ideals.
“These three women have brought to life via the campaign how each of them, the Escalade and Cadillac continuously evolve to lead the future, always with a focus on what’s next,” Cadillac also said. “In that regard, the Escalade, Cadillac and these three incredible women never stop arriving.”
The “Never Stop Arriving” ad campaign featuring Regina King will officially kick off in October. The first spot in this new series, a one-minute long clip featuring a soundtrack provided by “Run the Jewels”, is embedded below.

If Cadillac wanted to sign a woman of color to serve as their Brand Ambassador, a better pick would have been Serena Williams as she is instantly recognized around the world as being a champion tennis player as most people who hear Regina King and they’ll need to do a Google search.

Cadillac needs to just focus on product and make product that creates its own demand,
Cadillac for decades has not had an emotional connection with customers and needs to re establish it with their brand.
Why does Apple sell tons of electronics at higher prices? Mostly because people have made that emotional connection. Ferrari has it Bentley has it. Harley Davidson has it.
Corvette and Chevy Trucks have it.
Cadillac needs it.
Remember when you were in grade school and there is one kid shows up on the play ground with that one cool toy that everyone wants. Well Cadillac needs to make their cars that cool toy of envy.
