Last month, GM Authority was first to tell you that the 2021 Cadillac CT5 will introduce a new package called Diamond Sky Special Edition. At that time, we knew what features and content the new package would contain, but we didn’t have photos. That’s now changed, as Cadillac has officially released the very first photos of the 2021 Cadillac CT5 Diamond Sky Special Edition.
Available exclusively on the Premium Luxury trim level, the special edition package features several unique components both inside, and out.
Exterior features:
- Diamond Sky Metallic exterior color exclusive to the package
- Front grille from Luxury/Premium Luxury models with exclusive bright accents and surrounds
- 19-inch alloy wheels with Diamond Cut/Midnight Silver finish and all-season run-flat tires
- Available 20-inch alloy wheels with Polished/Dark Android Gloss finish and all-season run-flat tires
- Body-color rocker moldings and extensions
- Body-color rear lower air diffuser
- Neutral-density tail lamps with gray-tinted transparent outer lens and crystalline inners
- Brembo V Performance front brakes
- Blue brake calipers at all four corners
Interior features:
- Sky Cool Gray interior with Jet Black accents with exclusive Diamond Fall custom seat insert perforation
- Galaxy wood trim
- Alloy driver pedals
The package also includes a key fob with Diamond Sky Metallic accents with the Cadillac crest logo.
Opting for the 2021 Cadillac CT5 Diamond Sky Special Edition package will automatically add the Climate Package, which includes:
- Heated driver and front passenger seats
- Automatic heated steering wheel
- Ventilated driver and front passenger seats
The 2021 Cadillac CT5 Diamond Sky Special Edition package marks the very first time that Cadillac has offered the neutral-density tail lamps on a vehicle with Premium Luxury trim. Traditionally, these clear tail lamps are reserved for Sport and V-Series models, while Luxury and Premium Luxury models feature red lenses.
It’s also worth noting that the only way to get the new Diamond Sky Metallic exterior color, which is new for the 2021 model year, is to opt for the Diamond Sky Special Edition package. Conversely, the package can not be ordered with any other exterior or interior colors.
The 2021 Cadillac CT5 Diamond Sky Special Edition package will become available to oder in early 2021. Pricing info is not yet available, though we should find out how much it costs within a few weeks.

Too Bad Cadillac stop making the CTS-V Wagons which would fill the gap between customers who don’t want a SUV . The rear quarter window area remind me of the Nissan Maxima, I’ll pass
You keep beating the Nissan drum but in reality, but there’s really nothing there. Are you also going to bring up the fact that the every Nissan sedan also has four doors, four wheels, four tires and a steering wheel… like the CT5, right?
I’d like to see an XT3 hot hatchback with the 2.7T engine. Either rwd or awd and a manual option.
Instead of these special edition colors, they should differentiate themselves by using animals and cool little logos. I mean Corvette has the stingray and Hummer has the crab. If I was to keep the theme of aquatic animals, and being based off the color, I would have called this the shark edition or something more creative.
I wish they had continued with the CTS Coupe! I love my 2012!
@Pate
They did continue it. It was called the ATS Coupe.
That was a totally different and much smaller car. Nice looking but too small for me.
The exterior features list is long. Seems like a decently loaded package.
@Roy Chiles:
So Cadillac should continue building a 10 year old design……
……that you don’t like and wouldn’t buy because of the shape of one of the side glass panels ?
That 10yr old Cadillac Looks better, this look more Camry / Maxima Import than American but I guess that’s what Cadillac has to do “ follow the Imports design “ to sale a vehicle. By the way Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger are not having any problems selling a 10yr old design today
Yep here we are again with a Cadillac with a cheap Chevrolet interior !
However
——————– WOW ——————
GM/Cadillac can offer 100 different wheels !
GM/Cadillac can move option packages, that should be standard equipment, around !
Yet still the same dog 2.0T !
Is it not clear YET, GM’s only option on these cheap Chevrolet Cadillacs, is to slash the price and offer a different looking China wheel !
Yet just a few short years to go !
This is really fun to watch !
I still haven’t seen a CT5 or CT4 on the streets yet. How are sales of these cars doing?
That is one good looking car….. Looks elegant.
Plenty of CT5 on the east coast, looks like the new “go to” Caddy sedan. No CT4s yet.
I’ve seen plenty of CT5′ and 4’s and even CT4-V’s here in S FL.
I still have not seen one in the wild yet and we travel quite a lot. I actually did see a CT4 in Evergreen that looked quite sharp and better than the CT5 IMO.
Does ‘early’ 2021 availability for the Diamond Sky edition mean any time before July first, or is there a real early delivery date, and what is it.
What is Galaxy wood trim? I’ve never heard of a Galaxy tree.
