The headlining $8,000 GMC Sierra 1500 discount from August has been extended until the end of September. Interested parties should be aware that qualifying models must be in a select configuration and equipped with select powertrain and package options. Otherwise, a lesser cashback rebate is available exclusively for other configurations and powertrains, including $4,000 and $6,000 discounts.
Additionally, GMC lease offers give shoppers the opportunity to drive the T1-platformed pickup truck for three years at less than $300 per month in qualifying areas. General Motors has also extended its special vehicle discounts for first responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus until the end of this month.

why write about and post a discount that expires 9/8 on 9/10
I totally agree!!
Look at this article date… Sept 10!! And it arrived in today’s email.. Sept 10,,,,, 2 days after the expiration date of the discounts!
This is not the first time this author has had this happen…. look at his article dated Sept 1,, about discounts that expired the end of August!!
Not sure who is at fault… the author or the GM publisher!!
Would either like to respond???
At the end of the article it says the extension is good until September 30th. The title or headline is incorrect.
There was a mistake in the title. these Sierra 1500 incentives are valid throughout the month of September.
Yes JB…… I did read the entire article and did see the extension now runs thru the end of September. However, as you state the headline is totally inaccurate. Why isn’t the article titled something to the effect: discounts thru the end of September?? That would be timely and encourage customers to go out looking for a buy.
Actually some discounts did expire on Sept 8….. they evidently now have been extended.
Don’t you think it rather obvious and actually embarrassing to entitle an article about a discount that expired before it gets published??
I don’t mean to be too critical, but this is not the first time articles by this author about discounts have been totally inaccurate concerning deadlines, reference previous article dated Sept 1st.
Does the fault lay with the author or the ‘GM Authority’ publisher?? Who proofreads?
In any event it reflects quite poorly upon both!
Since I am in the market and ready to spend big bucks for a GMC 2500 Denali diesel, I have been thoroughly researching and hope their trucks are built with better quality than ‘GM Authority’ articles!
Author or publisher welcome to clarify!
UPDATE!!
Just moments ago, the online published article has undergone several revisions to include a new more accurate and timely headline…. no longer states Sept 8th!! (except article as listed in original dashboard)
Evidently someone is paying attention! Too bad it wasn’t accurate the first time around before getting published for all potential customers to see!!
You only get one chance to pour concrete or make a first impression!!
OK…. so maybe my standards are too high?? NOT!! Quality is mission critical…. let us not forget what happened to GM vehicles in the 80’s!
