General Motors has donated 105,000 disposable face marks to the Wentzville School District in St. Charles County, Missouri, as well as local area first responders.
According to a report by local news source newstime, the face mask donation was provided by the General Motors Wentzville Assembly Plant, which produces the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickups, as well as the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans.
The face masks were distributed to the Wentzville School District, Wentzville Fire Protection District, and the Wentzville Police Department.
“On behalf of St. Charles County Government, I would like to thank GM’s Wentzville Assembly Plant for this wonderful donation,” said St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann. “We have continuously worked to educate the community about the importance of wearing masks and following other precautions to stay health and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having one of the county’s largest employers supporting our efforts and promoting safety in our community is invaluable.”
“We provide masks to our employees every day at Wentzville Assembly and we are fortunate to be able to donate masks to St. Charles County for distribution to schools and first responders,” said General Motors Wentzville Plant Executive Director, Lamar Rucker.
In addition to the face mask donation, General Motors also made donations to a local area food bank in April. What’s more, General Motors also recently donated two million face masks to public schools in Michigan.
Beyond these local efforts, General Motors recently completed its federal contract to build 30,000 units of the Ventec V+ Pro ventilator, handing over operational control of its converted electronics production facility in Kokomo, Indiana, to Ventec Life Systems, which will continue to produce the life-saving medical equipment.
In the midst of absenteeism resulting from concerns over the spread of COVID-19, it was recently reported that the General Motors Wentzville Assembly plant would convert 100 temporary workers to permanent status this month.

I guess when you have a workforce that doesn’t show up to work you can donate the unused masks.
That picture is heartbreaking. The kid’s giving a thumbs up, but you can see the sadness in his eyes.
Isn’t that special GM is helping promote the Corona hoax
It’s that or get attacked by the far left. Being woke is gonna be the only way to make a living before long.
Most people are just letting the fear spread by the mainstream media be how they view this.
