The GM Authority Take

After two consecutive months of healthy gains in June and July, Chevrolet Korea sales returned to the red in August. This new drop in Chevrolet sales in the South Korean market is mainly due to two adverse factors: the reduction in the number of sales/business days in the past month due to summer and national holidays, as well as the emergence of new outbreaks of the COVID-19 virus in the Asian country.

As a result, most of the brand’s models posted negative results in August, including the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer – which has been the biggest driver of sales and was Chevrolet’s best-selling model in Korea in the past two months. In contrast, the Labo is the only model to have increased sales volume year-over-year, while the Spark improved its performance compared to previous months due to the positive reception of the 2021 model year recently launched in Korea.

Notably, Chevrolet Colorado sales fell significantly in the South Korean market in August, likely due to lower unit availability in the midst of the transition to the updated 2021 model year, which was introduced in Korea in late August.

  1. Wow! I just finished Enola Holmes. It’s a new movie on Netflix. I just absolutely love Millie Bobby Brown! I thought she was great in Stranger Things as well. Did you?
