Check Out This 2021 GMC Yukon Denali Riding On 22-Inch Chrome Wheels

General Motors introduced the 2021 GMC Yukon as an all-new fifth-generation for the luxury SUV nameplate. The lineup is once again topped by the Denali, which is replete with high-end features and finery. Now, we’re getting a look at the latest Yukon Denali as it rides on a set of 22-inch chrome wheels.

Recently posted to a Facebook fan page, this particular 2021 GMC Yukon Denali is equipped with the 22-inch 6-Split-Spoke Chrome wheels option, which are offered as a $2,995 upgrade installed by the dealer. The RPO code for these bad boys is SF1.

Covered in Summit White paint, which is offset by a black window tint and black detailing in the front bumper and lower body pieces, the big chrome wheels on this SUV are complemented by additional chrome bits for the window surrounds (alternatively called daylight openings, or DLO), grille section, and additional trim bits. Indeed, the large front grille does well tie together with the polished metal in the corners, and helps to underline the 2021 GMC Yukon Denali’s premium appeal.

Under the skin, the next-gen 2021 GMC Yukon Denali is highlighted by a new chassis, specifically the GM T1 platform providing the underpinnings, just as it does for the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade, as well as the fourth-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

Making it move is a selection of three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87, and the new-for-2021 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. All three engines pair with GM’s Hydra-Matic 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission.

Production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Arlington, Texas.

  1. Big wheels add bling to the 2021 GMC Yukon; but what would be even better is the 650 hp LT4 supercharged 6.2L V8.

  2. Still using chrome. Lol

  3. Just read an article on the slowest selling vehicles in America and the Escalade was number number 8 on the list. The full size SUV segment is dying.

    1. And the boring fwd sedan market is dead dead dead, piss on a Camry’s grave…..

    2. That’s because the 2021 model hasn’t started production. The thousands of pre-orders therefore can’t be filled. And if you’re spending $100k on an SUV, why settle for the old model?

  4. IMHO, that orthopedic shoe “mauve” interior color should be a hit with the “Geriatric / Golden Girls” demographic.

    1. Unfortunately sometimes photographs don’t accurately depict the true colors. Certainly that there is no “mauve” interior color.

    2. Back in the seventies, we used to call that s**t – brindle brown

    3. That interior is Ash Gray and Dark Walnut and it looks just fine inside. You won’t be driving with the door open with sunlight washing out the colors. The camera is also trying to cope with different levels of light in the photo. One problem that I see with the interior is that in the Denali models the assist handle on the passenger side A pillar has been deleted! It’s still there on the SLT.

  6. Am I the only one in the USA that thinks those big flashy wheels are ugly…. not just ugly but classless. The trend is nauseating.

  7. The seat looks like it’s already caved in on the plastic? Hate to see what this will look like after 50-60K? The size and shape also look like it belongs in a Malibu not a full size truck.

  8. The big wheels will make it look more aggressive and less like a mommobile. Should be black not chrome.

    1. No, no more black rims, no, no. NO.

      1. Chrome looks massively cheesy and makes the guy driving look like he cant get a boner

        1. That’s okay, he’s the one laughing inside his 80k SUV that most people cannot afford anyway.

  9. I have a 2021 Escalade on order with the black rims with the total onyx package. For the person commenting on the seats, sit in a Sport Platinum Escalade to find out what a really comfortable, good looking seat feels and looks like. My order though is with the auburn interior. I would say the sales of the 2021 Escalade are going to be just fine with over 6,000 pre-orders.

    1. The subject vehicle here is the all-new Yukon Denali, not the Escalade. These seats might very well be comfortable, but they look ridiculously cheap and again……how are they going to hold up?

I was selling GMC’s when the Denali first became available as the top trim Yukon. The seats were amazing back then. Now? What a joke for a truck that starts at $68K, Take a look at the seats in a Chevy work truck and then back at these? Same seat with fancy seat covers, ventilation/heat and power adjustment. Cheap.

  12. Let’s see… Big SUVs are on their way out, well, FCA is launching the Wagoneer for 2021 to complete with Escalade, Suburban, and the Denali. Don’t forget the Mercury and Ford twins launched a few years back, and the ongoing Infinity, Audi, Mercedes, and Toyota, all are large SUVs in the Tahoe/Suburban category. Not sure these goliath’s are extinct yet… There are more mid-size models taking some of the market but there is a market for these goliath’s.
As for the chrome, it’s still very appropriate with some colors and they offer gloss/flat black wheels, and the “new” what looks like a shadow gloss gray paint. You guys don’t get out much or don’t pay attention to what the dealers are loading on these new cars. I can image an all-terrain 20″ 22″ tire on the bling…
I remember when vans were going extinct, but they a made a come back…good thing some of you guys are not in marketing…
