Cadillac XT4 Now Offers Monochromatic Badges

The Cadillac XT4 is now offered with new monochromatic Cadillac crest badging. The new badges are an official accessory that is available on the Cadillac accessories website, or as a dealer-installed option.

Cadillac XT4 Monochromatic Emblems (SFZ)

Unlike the traditional Cadillac crest badging, these new monochromatic badges for the Cadillac XT4 replace the yellow, blue, and red coloring with several different hues of gray.

According to Cadillac, the end result is “a personalized feel” for the exterior of the Cadillac XT4.

The new monochromatic badges are tagged with RPO code SFZ and part number 84672031. Pricing is listed on the Cadillac accessories website at $125.

The accessory includes two monochromatic Cadillac emblems total, including one for the front fascia, and one for the rear hatch. The emblems are produced using the same material as the standard multi-colored emblems, and come with a warranty – either the balance of the vehicle’s bumper-to-bumper warranty, or 12 months / 12,000 miles, whichever is greater.

The front emblem mounts to the Cadillac XT4 grille using a set of tabs that “click” into the appropriate mounting holes, while the rear emblem is mounted using an adhesive.

Notably, the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade is also offered with monochromatic front and rear Cadillac badging via the Onyx package.

It’s also worth noting that these monochromatic Cadillac emblems are not the same as the silver badges found on the fenders of current Cadillac models.

It would appear as though Cadillac is starting to phase out the color from its famous Cadillac crest emblem. Another example of this is with the Cadillac Lyriq EV crossover, which features a light-up Cadillac crest that’s simple black and white.

    • @bubbaq As a Black AND Gay man, I don't find you the slightest bit of funny. If I was easily offended, I'd read you into dust. You're definitely not worth the time or energy so all I will say is you might not be so lucky next time you talk like that if the right person reads it.

  • I thought the reason for the badge was to stand out. Monochrome seems like camouflage. The distinctive heraldry features are already gone. Removing the color leaves kind of a stylized checkerboard. Why?

  • Cadillac should do something that people can get their head around like building a XT4 SS with a 3.6L DOHC-4v V6 as it would totally transform the personality of Cadillac's XT4.

  • Geez.

A lot of venom for just a badge option. You all would be bashing Cadillac for NOT offering it, if even one of its competitors did.
