Buick Regal Discount Drops Sportback Pricing By $6,250 In September 2020

A new Buick Regal discount reduces the price of select 2020 Sportback models by almost $6,000 during September 2020. Meanwhile, 2019 models receive a slightly more generous cash allowance offer, which equates to a greater savings of $500.

For those unfamiliar with the product lineup, the 2019 Regal Sportback and 2020 Regal Sportback and GS are your only options if you wish to purchase a brand-new passenger car from the Tri-Shield brand, as every other vehicle in its portfolio is a crossover of sorts, including the Encore, Encore GX, Envision, Enclave, and the Regal TourX wagon.

The Incentives

Nationwide Buick Regal discount offers during September 2020 are as follows:

  1. Given that General Motors CEO Mary Barra had made the decision to cancel the Buick Regal after this model year, it is logical to lower the price of the Buick Regal as much as possible to sell out all existing units in showrooms because no Buick dealer wants to try selling one after the end of this year where they would need to drop the price further.

  2. You act like Mary Barra and GM could some how magically produce this vehicle into the future. It’s an Opel product which GM can no longer use. Selling Opel was a move that made a ton of sense because the brand has not been lucrative for GM since the 90’s.

I’m sad to see it go because it’s one of the better vehicle’s GM has in it’s portfolio, imo. It’s a great buy right now at well under $25k. Unfortunately, I’m not in the market and financing is probably a little bit high on it.

    1. No, but they are a manufacturer. They could design a new Regal from a clean computer screen if they wanted. Clearly they don’t want to–or they don’t want to sell the Chinese replacement here or make it on this continent.

      1. They do still make the Malibu which is a very similar vehicle. Pretty sure some models share the exact same 2.0t.

        1. Malibu is not AWD…. regal had the hatchback which made it a great alternative to suvs.

          1. I don’t think the majority of Regals sold are the GS. I would guess the vast majority of Regals sold are FWD 2.0t. The hatchback is a nice feature, but its not a full hatchback and less volume than a CUV.

      2. Also with the strategic partnership with Honda maybe something is in the works?

  3. I like the Regal but I get nightmares thinking about how to get parts for it in the future…It’s an Opel product..hmmm..R they going to be around 10 years from now. ???

  4. Put Regal bumpers on Malibu. Left over Saturn Vue became Chevy Captiva with only a badge change. Not hard to do.

    1. That’s definitely how the old GM would do it. Anyone for a Cadillac Cimarron?
