Meanwhile, a second, separate incentive reduces the price of select 2019 Encore models by $3,000. Shoppers should also note that the Tri-Shield brand is extending worthwhile, low-mileage lease options nationwide. However, the lease rates vary from market to market.
The Incentive
Nationwide Buick Encore discount offers during the month of September 2020 are as follows:
- 2019 Encore Featured Purchase Offer: $3,000 customer cash
- Excludes base 1SV trim level
- 2020 Encore Featured Purchase Offer: $2,500 customer cash + $1,701 employee discount = $4,201 total discount
- Example offer based on Encore FWD Preferred with an MSRP of $27,070
- Excludes base 1SV trim level
- Featured Lease Offer: $129 per month for 24 months
- Applies to 2020 Encore FWD Preferred
- Ultra low-mileage lease with 10,000 miles per year
- For current eligible lessees of 2015 model year or newer select GM vehicles:
- $0 security deposit
- $2,929 due at signing (after all offers)
- Offer observed in the New York City market
Interested parties should note that all of the above offers will be valid through September 30th, 2020. Additionally, General Motors has extended its special vehicle discounts for first responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus until the end of this month.
The headlining Buick Encore discount actually makes the starting price of a 2020 Preferred model more affordable than a non-discounted base Encore 1SV. For reference, here are the 2019 and 2020 Buick Encore starting MSRPs by trim level, which include the $995 destination freight charge:
2019:
- Encore (1SV) – $24,195
- Preferred (1SB) – $25,595
- Sport Touring (1SH) – $26,795
- Essence (1SL) – $30,295

It’s worth noting that this month’s Buick Encore discount is identical to last month’s rebate, but $500 less than July’s rebate, which also included GM employee pricing.
