Lifted Chevrolet Silverado Taken Out By Walmart Stop Sign: Video

Lifted trucks can be a lot of fun. Take them off-roading, and they’re in their element, bashing through muddy troughs and climbing steep inclines with ease. The thing is, adding a lift kit can make a vehicle slightly more difficult to maneuver around tight turns and narrow corridors, as evidenced by the mangled front end on this Chevrolet Silverado.
This video is brief, clocking in at a little over a minute in length, but it does show some of the aftermath of a collision between the lifted Chevrolet Silverado and one very stubborn stop sign. Shot from the passenger seat of a passing vehicle, we get a rotating view of the poor Silvy pickup perched on top of the sign.
According to the video description, the incident occurred August 2nd, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio.
“My husband and I had just gone grocery shopping for our family when we heard a huge bang and a large commotion when we walked outside we saw this craziness!”
By the look of it, the driver of this lifted Chevrolet Silverado misjudged a corner in the parking lot, cutting it too close and smashing into the stop sign. It’s possible that the driver lost control while driving over some wet bit of the parking lot, as judging by the puddles, it appears as though it had recently rained.
Regardless, the results are pretty clear. The lifted Chevrolet Silverado now rests on top of the stop sign, its driver-side front wheel jammed underneath it while bits of the suspension hang from underneath the wheel well. It looks like the driver and some of his buddies are milling around while a store employee snaps a few photos of the truck.
Meanwhile, the stop sign remains still standing. Oh, the irony.
So there you go folks. When it comes to lifted trucks, stick to the rocks and mud puddles, as parking lots can be dangerous.

Lol, but you can see the concrete encasement on the stop sign, it was reenforced.
Someone was driving to fast and cutting corners to close.
Nobody is offroading in there type of lifted trucks, let a lone a crew cab long-bed.
I do it all the time in 2013 3500HD crew 4×4 Z71 long bed 6in lift front 4 rear etc… live in Southern Baja…
it’s a monster off-road and handles great highway, mild tweaked and tuned…
6.0 flexfuel, that’s right a gasser…
Your a idiot. Have a 04 2500HD with 8.1 and six inches under it with 37×13.50 on 20’s and she eats. Never been stuck,go places my buddies can’t in 4×4 in two wheel drive. Crew cab. Know how those are put in and if you’d have hit it with a ford it would have been a whole lot worse!!!!! Bow ties for life!!! No small PP either. Big ones can’t jump!
Right on Jim…
Only guys with tiny little members need to lift their trucks to ride on the street. They are dangerous and should be banned. Some insurance companies won’t insure them.
Do you know from experience or what?
I purchased a Suburban of similar age which was already lifted – I just enjoy the way it drives and looks and yes, I’ve been off roading in a lifted suburban before. My lift is pretty close to what the guy in the picture has so I can speak from experience since my setup is almost identical in height and length to his. I am a responsible driver and have never had an collision in my vehicle (had a lifted suburban before this one so going on 7 years with no collisions). Not sure you know what you’re talking about. Additionally, insurance companies will insure any lifted vehicle but will NOT cover any parts you add to the vehicle aftermarket unless you get specific coverage for that . They are no more or less dangerous than any other 5,000lb vehicle driving on the road, it’s all about the driver. My son and I actually avoided a 5 car collision with significant injuries that literally happened about 3 car lengths in front of us because of my ride height so I’d advise you stand down before complaining about something you know absolutely nothing about. This country used to be about choice, and while I don’t use the suburban as my daily driver, I embrace my option to drive it whenever I like because *freedom*.
I suspect this guy just didn’t see the stop sign in his blind spot and was probably both driving too fast and cutting the corner too sharp.
Finally, my girlfriend would like you to know my member is definitely not “small”.
Send your girlfriend over here,,, I’ll show her what a real member looks like
The fact that you dolts feel the need to parade around the size of your junk tells us all we need to know about your actual situation…trucks or not.
Pretty sure I was responding to Virginia but thanks for trying.
Who cares who you were responding to. The only people who feel the need to defend their size to random strangers online are the ones who desperately lack self-esteem as it is.
Like the old adage goes, the true wealthy never feel the need to flaunt it, they’re perfectly satisfied just living it.
Is this the place to point out that you don’t need a big organ unless you’re playing in a cathedral? 🙂
Yeah that’s what’s needed. More government to tell you if you can lift your truck.
You do know insurance companies are not the gov’ment right? They’re private companies. If I don’t want to insure a dumbass it should be my right not to. They can go to The General and try to get insured maybe.
Dave, The comment I was replying to said “…. They are dangerous and should be banned…” Banning means government. Insurance companies don’t ban things, they just don’t insure them. But you can still have them as opposed to the government which would not ‘allow’ you to have them.
Well I think you will find that in a large number of locations the local police are going to pull you over and ticket you ever time they see you. I guess if you are rich and afford the fines that’s great. Eventually they would probably just impound your vehicle.
Just curious, are you saying every person who has a lifted vehicle is a dumbass cause that’s how your comment reads.
In all states, auto insurance is a heavily regulated industry. The insurance regulators in most states determine of how they rate, what coverage is mandatory, how they manage their finances. There’s political-equity considerations (insuring poor people). In my state, there’s a uniform point system that defines “dumbass” which simultaneously caps rates. So no, it’s not your right.
Sounds like you have short person syndrome. Since you hate life you want to be sure everyone you meet is equally as unhappy.
This guy could have been driving a corvette 3″ off the ground and he probably would have hit the sign again!! . Face it, it has nothing to do with the vehicle, lifted of not.
He wasn’t watching where he was driving. If you think the truck is a factor then you’re a bonehead. There are some, like this guy, that just aren’t good at driving!!! Adding a lifted trick to this guy’s lack of driving ability may have gave him more EGO than he could handle.
Stop blaming the truck!
I totally agree with you Greg great minds think alike
Boo Virginia, turn the lifetime channel back on and mind your business
You need to loosen up boy!
Vergina,
you don’t know what you’re speaking of…
not in the least…
PS it’s not tiny…lol
that’s your latex talking…
That’s what happens when u go the wrong way down a lane in parking lot ….looks good on him…
Gotta be rolling at a fairly fast clip to do this kinda clip…..LOLOLOL
When a lifted truck is higher than it’s supposed to be the laws of physics are violated. When the body is lifted that high it has a lot of leverage over the suspension components so when an irresistible force meets an immovable object the weakest link is going to break meaning the standard suspension components. Maybe next time he’ll pay more attention to his driving than to saying “ hold my beer, watch this”!
Is nobody going to mention the Toyota Tacoma pickup with a bent frame in the first seconds of the video? That thing is going to snap in two on the next speed bump with the frame rusting problems these are notorious for.
Who cares about a Toyota
It’s not just the bed… look at the front wheels and how it sits…
Just another dumb ass redneck!
Maybe it was a cheesy quality lift job as well as a stout sign involved. At any rate it is pretty funny to see.
The sign is encased in a concrete Ballard. The concrete typically is 3ft or more in the ground depending on height and circumference. They are designed to stop vehicles. It’s no wonder there is so much damage.
Apparently not built “Like a Rock” any more!
Ha, ha, ha……
Only if he stopped at the stop sign. Stupid is what stupid does.
I just want to know why is it that if you have a lifted truck people automatically have a small dick and that your a redneck I mean honestly most of the trucks on the road now are just for show with these 4000 dollar rims and led underglow and with people that have jobs in the field like welders and loggers for a example we need a lift kit with bigger tires so we don’t get stuck cause sometimes we get into swamps and what we call drywall mud
It’s a HD half-ton so its not doing any real work after that lift was added a minivan would have a better payload capacity. He put in a lot of work in to hide that with that with the 3/4 ton towing mirrors and debadging the truck so i’m guessing he’s ashamed of it. You don’t put 24″+ rims on any truck you want to take off-road as they are worthless. Long bed crew has the axle length of damn school bus so no matter what you do it’s going to be awful in the mud or on the trail.
I’m calling it Butt stupid !!!
Sad……everyone knows that lifted long bed crew cabs make the best off-roaders…………lol
He was showing off, driving to fast in a parking lot. If he was driving safely he wouldn’t have done that much damage. It’s possible it was a cheap lift job or perhaps poorly maintain after hours of off roading. But at the end of the day if you drive safely that wouldn’t have happened.
At least he will not need a hoist to do the front end work!
Most likely someone who likes driving short through a lot, instead of treating it like a set of streets and empty lots. Unfortunate result.
It’s not just a stop sign it’s a metal post filled with cement. Some people are just stupid.
Yep, gotta love that tough Independent Front Suspension lol.
I’d heard of that setup breaking in the oil fields where solid axles dont, but I guess even parking lots are dangerous to it.
