Hennessey’s Supercharged GMC Sierra Goliath 700 Rips Around The Track: Video

It doesn’t matter if you’re talking about coupes, sedans, SUVs or pickup trucks – horsepower is plentiful these days, with tuners like Hennessey Performance Engineering leading the way with upgrades and packages that can turn just about anything into a supercar. Such is the case with Hennessey’s supercharged GMC Sierra Goliath 700, as seen in the following brief video.

Clocking in at just one minute, 14 seconds, this video features the Hennessey-tuned GMC Sierra as it rips across Hennessey’s test track, with plenty of glorious exhaust noise accompanied by ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man in the background. The truck sounds great, but it also looks great thanks to its classy black paint and chrome trim.

Hennessey offers its Goliath 700 supercharger kit on all 2019 through 2020 GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado pickups equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 engine. That includes the AT4 and Denali trims, as well.

In stock form, the L87 in these pickups produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. However, as the name suggest, Hennessey’s Goliath 700 upgrade boosts output to 700 ponies total.

The main party piece is a 2.9L supercharger, which adds six pounds of boost to the mix. The kit also comes with an upgraded camshaft, chromoly hardened pushrods, a new intake, a high-capacity intercooler, CNC-ported cylinder heads, and a new crankcase ventilation system, as well as a number of serial plaques and all the associated badging

GMC Sierra owners can also add the HPE Stage-1 Off-Road package, which is equipped on the vehicle featured here. The off-road package adds a six-inch lift, as well as custom 20-inch Hennessey wheels wrapped in 35-inch off-road tires. Up front, the kit throws on a new bumper, while LED lighting illuminates the way forward.

Per Hennessey’s website, pricing for the Goliath 700 kit is set at $29,950, while the Stage-1 Off-Road kit is another $18,950. Alternatively, buyers can order an entire Goliath 700 GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado directly from Hennessey for $105,000.

  1. To tell the truth, y’all lost me in 2020 when you changed the front headlights to look similar to a…Ford. I have purchased 3 brand new Sierras from GMC since 1998. You lost a Loyal customer Mr engineers and management. I’ll pick another brand. So long.

  2. Could they take off 15 grand if they didn’t include the tacky badges?

  3. Top 10 best trucks for 2020. GMC takes 5th place. Too much bling, sky high $$$$$-$$$$$$ for a unit to go from point A to B. Chevrolet took 3rd. Go figure. At least the Silverado went with decent headlights. Are there really folks who buy 60,000-105,000 thousand dollar trucks. Can’t be that many. The body styling has gone downhill since I bought my 2014.
