GMC Offering Employee Pricing For Everyone On Select Models For All Of August

General Motors‘ sub-brand GMC is offering employee pricing for everyone on select 2020 model year vehicles for the entire month of August as the automaker continues to look for ways to boost sales amid COVID-19 related business setbacks.

GMC is now offering Employee Pricing on the 2020 GMC Canyon pickup, Yukon SUV, Savana utility van and Acadia crossover throughout August. While this offer excludes some of the more popular GMC models such as the Sierra 1500, Sierra HD and Terrain, the Canyon, Yukon, Savana and Acadia will give bargain-hunting buyers a decent amount of variety to choose from if they are looking to purchase a GMC vehicle with Employee Pricing.

GM Employee Pricing is typically available to GM employees and their families only. Through this program, GM employees are able to purchase new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicles at a discounted price – with the discount’s overall amount differing based on a variety of factors. GM Employee Pricing can also be combined with certain other GM vehicle incentives that may be available at the time of purchase to offer employees, or in this case regular customers, additional savings.

As we pointed out in our article regarding the Buick Employee Pricing event that is also being held in August, potential buyers who may want to combine existing GMC vehicle incentives with the Employee Pricing offer should speak to their dealer, as not all incentives can be combined with it. Those who want an idea of how much a vehicle may cost with GM Employee Pricing factored in can also build their own vehicle via the GM Family First website.

In addition to offering employee pricing on certain Buick and GMC models, GM is also offering steep discounts on certain Chevrolet models as part of its ongoing Chevrolet Open Road sales event. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many automakers to put in place steeper incentives than they normally might at this time of year in order to boost sales. GM’s sales were down 34% year-over-year in Q2 2020, though the automotive industry is expecting better sales results in Q3 and Q4.

  1. Discounts to everyone were better 10-12 months ago.
