Corvette C8.R Diecast Model Arriving Early Next Year

The Corvette Racing team is on a tear right now, recently taking Road America by storm to secure its third straight victory in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. Now, Acme Diecast is offering up this 1:18 scale Corvette C8.R model, giving fans a chance to enjoy every angle of the mid-engine racer right on their bookshelf or desk.

This particular Corvette C8.R model is the No. 3 car, which presents in a Velocity Yellow livery with black accents, including big aero up front and in back, and two long racing stripes running down the spine from the nose all the way to the rear. The wheels are done in black, and there’s a prominent rear diffuser as well. The canards in the nose, the side intake trim, and the lower side skirts are also done in black, while the No. 3 plate and associated sponsorship stickers dot the exterior. The sideview mirrors and rear spoiler end plates are in red.

The new Corvette C8.R model will ship in January of 2021, and is available to pre-order now. Pricing is set at $149.95, per the company’s website. Acme Diecast also offers a detailed model of the standard 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8, which looks fantastic, all the way down to the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine under the rear hatch viewing port.

#3 Corvette Racing Corvette C8.R, GTLM: Antonio Garcia, Jordan Taylor, pit stop

The Corvette C8.R made its debut alongside the 2020 Corvette Convertible at the Kennedy Space Center Complex in Florida last year. The real No. 3 car is driven by Jordan Taylor and Antonio Garcia, while the No. 4 Corvette C8.R sister car (finished in gray with yellow accents) is driven by Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner. The two Corvette Racing entries managed to go one-two in the recent IMSA event at Road America, with the No. 3 car finishing ten seconds ahead of the No. 4 car.

For those Corvette Racing fans that can’t get enough of the C8.R, this diecast model could make for the perfect gift.
