In July, General Motors launched its Buick Employee Pricing sales event, which saw the automaker offer fairly steep discounts on all 2020 model-year Buick vehicles. Now, the automaker has extended the promotion into August as it looks to recoup some sales lost in the first half of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Employee pricing is available on almost all new 2020 model-year Buicks except for some entry-level 1SV trim-level vehicles. The only vehicles that qualify for employee pricing on the base 1SV trim are the Buick Encore GX subcompact crossover and Enclave mid-size crossover. The amount of the discount for employee pricing depends on the vehicle and trim level selected, but there are certainly some big savings to be had on popular Buick models such as the Enclave and Encore.
Just like last month, Buick Employee Pricing is not available with special financing rates and certain other GM discount offers. As we saw with certain deals last month, though, employee pricing can be combined with certain deals, such as cashback rebates, for some major savings. That said, potential buyers who may want to combine these incentives should speak to their dealer, as not all incentives can be combined with all other offers and these transactions are typically quite complicated.
All customers who purchase a new vehicle under the Buick Employee Pricing program must take delivery of the vehicle before August 31st. It’s not clear if this offer will extend through to September, so interested parties should get in contact with a Buick dealer sooner rather than later.
GM is also holding its Chevrolet Open Road sales event concurrently with the Buick Employee Pricing deal in July and August. The automaker’s sales were down 34 percent in Q2 2020 following setbacks brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and the automaker is likely now looking to cut some of those losses by driving sales via discounts and incentives such as these.

GM sure knows how to make their employees feel special.
I would rather have a job with the result of GM offer the incentives to keep the line moving.
