The Chevrolet Trailblazer nameplate was reintroduced for the 2021 model year as an all-new “sub-compact plus” crossover, slotting in underneath the compact Chevrolet Equinox and above the subcompact Chevrolet Trax. Critically, the 2021 Trailblazer offers loads of space for passengers in the rear seat, including best-in-class rear seat legroom, as highlighted in the following post.
Although front legroom is below average for the segment, with just 40.9 inches, the 2021 Trailblazer stands out with 39.4 inches of rear seat legroom. The 2020 Honda HR-V trails with 39.3 inches of rear seat legroom, while 2020 Kia Soul offers 38.8 inches, and the 2020 Jeep Compass offers 38.3 inches.
Notably, the 2021 Trailblazer also bests the Buick Encore GX, which offers just 36 inches of rear seat legroom, despite the fact that both vehicles ride on the GM VSS-F vehicle set. This is partly down to wheelbase measurements, with the 2021 Trailblazer measured at 103.9 inches, and the Buick Encore GX measured at 102.2 inches, a difference of 1.7 inches.
What’s more, the 2021 Trailblazer offers loads of space in terms of cargo room, with 25.3 cubic-feet with the rear seats up, and 54.4 cubic-feet with the rear seats down.

The 1.2L LIH mates to a CVT, while the 1.3L L3T mates to a nine-speed automatic. Both FWD and AWD are available.
Production for the North American market takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, South Korea.
Offering plenty of room, technology, and head-turning style, the 2021 Trailblazer makes for a very solid crossover. Do you agree? #1 in legroom and #1 in least number of cylinders!!!! gm is killing it.
You were planning to go retro 2003 and put on a fart cannon on one when you get yours?.
At 155 hp you had to get a v6 to get that much not long ago. The important thing TB is moving off lots with an ATP that no Chevy subcompact could generate before.
I was looking to buy another sonic to replace my 2012 with 158K mikes on it to flat tow behind our motorhome. Seeing that, that was not possible the manager of sales told me about the TB (around the same price point but with way more features). My first comment is that it needs to be Flat towed because I was not going to use a car dolly anymore. He told me the AWD is because he had already looked in the manual knowing that is the reason for looking at a Sonic. My wife and I went to the dealer to test drive it. Funny my wife rode in the back seat to see how it felt back there. We did buy that one and it fits our needs for our purpose. We both like the pickup on it and putting it into sports mode is another excellent feature. For being a 3cyl turbo I’m really impressed with the acceleration. Kind of like the Sonic but most certainly not like our RT Charger.
GM has succeeded in moving overseas and to Mexico: Trax-TBlazer-Blazer made in Korea-Korea-Mexico. Silly 3 cyl with CVT. RAV4 and HRV are made in the US. Much better.
