2020 Corvette On Vossen HF-2 Wheels Charges Through Colorado: Video

We recently covered a video from Vossen Wheels that featured the 2020 Corvette riding on a set of Hybrid Forged HF-5 rollers, prompting a flurry of comments divided over how the black wheels look on the Sebring Orange Tintcoat Vette. However, as several of the commenters pointed out, the rainy setting made it difficult for some watchers to see the new wheel combo clearly. Luckily, anyone looking to get a better picture of the combo can hit play on this follow-up video, which places another Vossen-equipped Vette on drier country roads in Colorado.

The video is two minutes, 44 seconds long, and once again includes some fantastic, high-quality shots of the 2020 Corvette as it blasts around the mountainous Colorado terrain.

The first few shots show the 2020 Corvette on a lift as the new Vossen HF-2 wheels are mounted and the suspension is lowered to match. With everything back where it belongs, the Vette is dropped to the ground, everything is aligned, and then it’s out to the countryside for some two-lane fun.

With some heavy beats blasting in the background, we see the Vette ply along the backroads on its new wheels, eventually heading to downtown Denver, where it posts up at a parking garage.

While not as dark and drizzly as the previous video, the weather in this new video is a little overcast. That said, we do get a much better picture of what these rollers look like.

These particular Vossen Hybrid Forged HF-2 wheels are sized at 20 inches by 9 inches in front, and 21 inches by 12 inches in the rear. Vossen offers sizing up to 22 inches in diameter and 12 inches in width, with pricing starting at $649 per wheel.

As a reminder, the 2020 Corvette is produced at the GM Bowling Green facility in Kentucky, and draws motivation from the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine.

What do you think, dear reader? Does this video paint the new plus-sized wheels in a better light, or are they not to your taste? 1. The wheels look great, but I’m from the old school, and would want them in a chrome finish. Hey, I was born in 1943!

    1. The wheels look good, but I have a C7 ZO6 with two bent rims, I wonder how these wheels will hold up. Hybrid, hummmmm….

      1. They look good! How much for these up sized wheels? Are they around $4000 installed?

  2. I don’t mind this ambient music represented here. Although I do prefer a more “medative” ambient.

What I will complain about ( sorry), I’m not a fan of watching a video of a sports car and not hearing the car.

Time to stop the music. The car makes its own tunes.
That’s what I want to hear.

    1. Why do all these songs sound like Mickey Mouse having orgasms in an echo chamber?

  3. Chevrolet needed to make the change to the Corvette and it is doing what the original Corvette did over 60 years ago, catch the imagination and make those young at heart dream of owning one.

  4. I saw this exact car in Thorton CO and spoke to the owner. It looks 200% better than any stock wheel.
