Ultra-Clean 1965 Pontiac GTO Restomod Up For Sale: Video

This 1965 Pontiac GTO restomod has all the makings of a true showstopper. The work that went into this thing shows in every detail, with the exterior, interior, powertrain, and even the underside shining with attention and care.

The familiar chiseled lines are coated in Glossy Dark Blue paint, with the body panels cleaned up thanks to custom painted Pontiac GTO emblems. Aluminum Foose wheels with a polished billet finish sit in the corners, while LED headlamps light the way forward.

Inside, we find a custom tan leather interior, with modern Pontiac GTO bucket seats up front and in the rear. There’s also a tan suede headliner, plus a custom dome lamp, custom floor mats, custom door panels, and a custom dash. Vintage Air climate control keeps it comfy, while aluminum pedals and three-spoke steering wheel provide the inputs. A JBL stereo is onboard for the tunes, and even the trunk is upholstered to perfection.

Making this machine move is the fuel-injected 6.0L V8 LS2 engine, the same powerplant that GM used in the modern Pontiac GTO. On top of the ‘eight is an aluminum Magnuson supercharger pumping in even more power. An aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan keeps temps in the green, while custom fuel rails provide the go-juice. A cold air intake helps this goat breath in, while a stainless steel dual exhaust system helps it breathe out.

Providing that extra underhood shine is long list of polished parts, such as a stainless steel overflow tube, an aluminum alternator, billet hood hinges, and a polished aluminum A/C compressor.

As expected, the handling upgrades are all modern as well, with power steering and power Baer brakes. Hotchkis suspension pieces, adjustable coilovers, and a chromed four-link suspension in the rear round it out.

Now, this gorgeous 1965 Pontiac GTO restomod is listed for sale by Vanguard Motor Sales at $139,900. Check it out in the video below:

  2. Son,
Where did you learn your car lingo?
Your repetitive description of the quintessential automobile engine as “the ‘eight” I find most disrespectful.

  3. Tired of seeing LS engines in everything. LS are great engines. Use it in the last GTO. Pontiac made an awesome V8 at the time. Why not restomod that along with it. At least give it back what it came with.

  6. Cadillac needs to do a design study on this car for future vehicles since the brand still lacks a cohesive design language

  7. At one time I had the same model of GTO. However instead of a 389 or three deuces I had a 400 from a high output firebird engine in it with a huge four barrel carb. I think it may have been cuddled together by a body shop guy I knew because I had a two-speed powerglide transmission in it and I’m not sure that GTO ever had a two-speed powerglide in it so it may have started out as a lemons or something like that lol
