By now we’ve seen all sorts of creations from Speciality Vehicle Engineering, from its 1,000 horsepower Yenko Camaro S/C to its modern-day 750 horsepower take on the beloved GMC Syclone. Now the New Jersey-based tuning company, which is also a Tier 1 supplier, has unveiled the latest addition to its catalog: the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko S/C.
Powering the Silverado Yenko S/C is 6.2L V8 with a centrifugal supercharger, which is good for 800 horsepower and 720 pound-feet of torque. The engine is based on an LT1 block and features CNC-ported LT1 cylinder heads and forged internals and feeds into a pair of custom stainless steel headers and high-flow cats.
The Silverado Yenko features the same GM 10-speed automatic transmission as the stock Silverado, but with upgraded clutch packs and an aftermarket torque converter. There’s also massive front Brembo brakes with 16-inch calipers, thicker sway bars and progressive sport shocks. The truck comes lowered two inches in the front and five inches in the rear, as well.
In addition to the performance upgrades, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko S/C also gets some Yenko S/C vinyl decals, a Yenko embossed rear tailgate, a unique rear bumper treatment, quad exhaust tips and 22-inch Yenko-branded alloy wheels. It will be offered in either Double Cab or Crew Cab body styles and also comes with a three-year/36,000 miles engine/supercharger warranty and a three-year, 36,000 miles transmission warranty.
Like other SVE products, this supercharged, Yenko-branded Silverado will be available to buy through General Motors dealerships. Interested parties will want to act fast, though, as SVE plans to build just 50 examples for the 2021 model year.
Prices for the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko S/C were not disclosed, but we know other SVE products like this don’t come cheap. It will probably be out of budget for many folks, unfortunately, but most people probably don’t feel the need to own an 800 horsepower Silverado.
