Back in 2018, actor Mark Wahlberg purchased a Chevrolet dealership in Columbus, Ohio and promptly renamed it Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet. Now the Boston native, along with his business partner Jay Feldman, has also purchased the Buick–GMC dealership across the street – expanding his personal General Motors dealership store family to two.
According to Automotive News, Wahlberg and Feldman’s new dealership was previously called Haydocy-Buick GMC. In a statement, Wahlberg said the Haydocy family was “wonderful to work with during this transition,” to new ownership and said Feldman and him were “looking forward to doing big things (in Columbus).”
“When we bought the dealership almost two years ago, I had never really spent a lot of time in Columbus,” added Feldman. But since we’ve been there, I’ve fallen in love with Columbus. It’s a great town.”
Feldman, a Michigan-area businessman with extensive experience in automotive retail, first met Wahlberg in 2013 while the actor was working on a Transformers film in the Detroit area. Feldman currently owns more than 10 automotive retail locations in Michigan and Ohio and is also in partnership with Wahlberg on his Wahlburgers burger chain.
Wahlberg said this week that the Haydocy Buick-GMC store being across the street from Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet made the business a “perfect fit” for his growing dealership portfolio. The new dealership will also be named Mark Wahlberg Buick-GMC – likely to take full advantage of the actor’s world-famous name.
“Columbus has been so welcoming and it just made sense to grow our automotive platform here,” Wahlberg also said this week.
In addition to the two GM dealerships, Wahlberg and Feldman recently purchased a trailer and RV dealership in Columbus, which is now known as Mark Wahlberg Airstream & RV.

This is definitely proof of putting one’s wallet where one’s mouth is.. Mark Wahlberg is clearly demonstrating love of country and the General Motors brand.
don’t forget money. this ain’t a charity.
Welcome to Wahlberg Chevy of…ahem…. flavortown!
Sucesso meu camarada.
Columbus is a great area to own a dealership. Lots of money there.
I got my GMC in Columbus.
Eric. Clapton live there part of the year. Maybe he will buy the Ferrari Dealer?
Wahlberg’s love of the US and the US military has to be commended. The guy is world-class.
Congrats on the new dealership.
Happy to see a FEARLESS patriot like Mark supporting the domestic economy. Maybe Seattle should replace their Lenin statue with a bronze Mark Wahlberg who supports our troops and auto workers!
Yeah, he’s a regular John Wayne alright.
fearless? you know those films where he shoots the bad guys are not documentaries, right?
I think the fearless was being in a boy band and really amounting to something.
all of those fearless people in hollywood are truly inspiring. thanks for correcting me.
Too bad Trump is a putler’s slave…
I’m glad to see the Wahlberg family is still putting money back into America business. I’ve been a Chevy owner my entire life I’m 65 now and I go to a beautiful family own business down in South Jersey called Barlow Chevrolet the family there is like my extended family they take so good care of me And my family that I travel there from Long Island New York Im sure Mark will take excellent care of the people in Ohio
Dirk Diggler Chevrolet?
We need more of these so called “Celebs”, doing more like this guy. Instead of supporting the wrong edge of things. Help this great Country continue to prosper and keep us all moving in the right direction. This the greatest nation on the planet. It hurts a veteran like my self, seeing useless trust fund babies, tear it apart. We ALL live here. To bring back a 1970’s slogan, “If you don’t like it here, We’ll help you pack”. Just sayin’
Let’s not make a saint out of Mark Wahlberg, He’s not going to give cars away free, or even sell at better discounts than competing dealers. He bought into the dealerships, as a partner, to make some money. And it’s not likely he’ll be sitting in a back office of the dealership, and pop out onto the showroom floor, occasionally. Realistically, the dealerships will be lucky to see him only a few times a year. His partner, Jay Feldman, is the real brains in the deal, as he currently owns over a half-dozen Chevy dealerships in SE and central Michigan, alone, and, as the article says a few more, in Ohio. It seems to be a mutual admiration relationship – Feldman gives Wahlberg a few points in the two dealerships in exchange for putting Wahlberg’s better-known name over the front door, while Feldman puts his experienced team inside to really run the business.
Robert, Nobody’s making him a saint. he’s just a guy who made it big in the good ol’ USA. AND… he’s putting his money back into this great Country. Jay Feldman or not. He is doing more for this economy than most all of the “Hollywood” types put together. No need to lamb baste the guy. We need more of him. Make it here and invest it here. Just sayin’
Wahlberg needs to tell Barra to bring back the Chevy SS, the Chevy Impala, and the Buick LaCrosse. All with a more muscle stance. There would be a line of folks out the door to buy one. Battery cars and pickups only go to a few spectators.
Corretíssimo, é assim que se pensa. grande!
So when did GM start letting CONVICTED FELONS become a DEALER PRINCIPAL? I guess its ok if your a famous Hollywood pot head though. This is why I will continue to own Fords.
remember when george constanze bought a lebaron convertible just because he thought jon voight was the previous owner?
those are the kind of people who will flock to this dealership.
