GM Is Sending 2020 Corvette Owners This Free Gift

There’s no denying that buyers of the 2020 Corvette are a fortunate bunch. These lucky General Motors customers are or are soon to be the owners of the quickest and most advanced iteration of the iconic Chevrolet Corvette ever produced, but as impressive as the new 2020 Corvette is, GM still felt the need to pamper these customers just a little bit more.
Buyers of the 2020 Corvette are receiving a special gift from GM in the way of a scale model of their vehicle painted in the same production color that they ordered. These scale models also feature a decorative plaque on the base reading ‘2020 Corvette’ and featuring the Vehicle Identificaiton Number (VIN) that corresponds with their vehicle. The base of these scale models measures in at 10-inches by 5.5-inches, so they are roughly the same size as a 1:18 scale diecast model.
The color-keyed scale models aren’t the only special gift GM sent along to 2020 Corvette owners, either. Included in the package with the model is the discount coupon for the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain. With this coupon, 2020 Corvette owners can attend the two-day high-performance driver education seminar at Spring Mountain for just $1,000 – a savings of over $2,000.
The Ron Fellows Performance Driving School provides both classroom and on-track instruction and will teach students both basic and more advanced driving techniques. It’s worth noting that attendees still have to pay their own way to get out to Spring Mountain, which is located in Pahrump, Nevada near Las Vegas.
It’s not clear if GM plans to send a color-keyed model like this to owners for all C8 Corvette production years, or if this is a gift for buyers of the initial model year vehicle only. Either way, it’s good to see GM taking that extra step to make the buyers of one of its more expensive models feel appreciated. Selling performance and luxury cars is all about the small details and making customers feel important, and it seems GM is now going the distance to make these buyers feel valued and respected.
GM has also sent a similar gift to buyers of the Cadillac CT6-V and CT6 Platinum with the Blackwing engine in the way of a 3D printed scale model of the twin-turbocharged 4.2L V8. The Blackwing engine was discontinued earlier this year and will not appear in any other GM products going forward.

Surpised at the gift. The school still costs money, but it was well worth it
How much would these be worth to a corvette enthusiast
Just received my white reproduction 2022 Corvette c8 car and plaque last night. Was extremely surprised when I opened it and saw what it was with my VIN number on it and a certificate for the driving school in Utah. Now I’ll wait for my silver one for my 2023 Corvette that should be here in about 7 months. Time to buy a nice showcase display in glass to display with my other trophies. Thank you GM, great gift and look forward to my next one.
