Almost all of us know someone whose pickup truck is usually a cluttered mess, with work papers and coffee cups littering the inside and tools, garbage and other items scattered about the bed. It’d be easy to criticize these folks, but when one uses their truck for work, it essentially becomes like a second home, so it can be difficult to keep it tidy when constantly on the go.
This is where Decked steps in. The company produces pickup truck bed drawer systems that are designed to help owners of GM pickups, or virtually any other truck, keep their pickup’s bed looking neat and tidy – whether they use it for work, recreational activities or both. The drawer system consists of a tough plastic frame with two sliding drawers. On short-bed trucks, each drawer has a volume of 5.4 cubic feet, while the Decked system for long-bed trucks has larger 6 cubic-feet drawers. Each drawer also has payload of 200 pounds, while another 2,000 pounds can be stacked on the flat top of the drawer system.
The Decked drawers, which are made to fit almost all modern full-size GM pickups, are constructed from tough high-density polyethylene plastic and feature steel and aluminum support beams. The drawers have a “no drill” installation as well, hooking right up to the truck’s factory bed tie-downs. This also makes them easily removable for when owners want the full capacity of their pickup bed back.
Decked systems are commonly used by construction workers, tradesmen and fleet companies to help organize their tools when out on the job, but they are also popular with fishers, hunters, overlanding enthusiasts and other outdoorsmen to store gear or supplies.
Decked also offers numerous accessories to work with the drawer systems, including purpose-built dividers, toolboxes and drawer locks. Decked systems can be purchased from the company’s various dealers nationwide or via its own website.
Decked provides a little more insight into its innovative pickup bed drawer system in the video embedded below, so be sure to check it out. To reiterate, this system is compatible with almost all GM pickups including light- and heavy-duty variants of the current GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. Decked also makes smaller versions for mid-size trucks like the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon.

“Drawyer”?
Ya, you know.
Like a Cheyst of Drawyers.
The bed is useless once this is installed. Who wants to take 220 lbs. of bulky plastic out to use bed, much less store it. Bad idea!
If you were using the truck bed to store boxes of crap, like they show, then it might make sense.
Obviously if you normally put large objects in the bed, it wouldn’t help you.
At that point, just get a suburban and be done with it.
Not much space in the bed is left over after using the lower half of it for the drawer, and the board is not high enough to prevent larger items on top of the drawer falling over the board.
I recomment to use a van or station wagon instead, whose storage area is also protected against any passers by taking things out or throwing garbage in.
