The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD High Country comes from the factory with an abundance of chrome trim. The grille, lower front bumper, wheels, mirror caps, side steps and door handles all come swathed in chrome, which helps the truck look more upscale and expensive, but certainly isn’t to everybody’s tastes.
A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD High Country owner recently approached the Oskaloosa, Iowa based custom truck experts over at Kelderman, asking them to give his new Chevy pickup a menacing makeover by painting the truck’s chrome trim and all of its badges black. Expanding on the blacked-out look, Kelderman applied a minor tint to the headlight and taillight lenses and swapped out the factory chrome wheels for a set of gloss black Fuel Off-Road aftermarket rims. The rims are shod in a pair of aggressive Toyo Open Country AT-3 tires.
Kelderman is known for its custom trucks, so there was no way this truck was leaving the shop with only some painted black trim and new wheels. It also received a Kelderman Delta front bumper with integrated tow hooks and an LED light bar and a Delta rear bumper with some additional heavy-duty tow hooks. The suspension is where things really get interesting, though. This particular truck is rocking a Kelderman 4-6-inch front end lift kit with custom Kelderman A-arms, Kelderman “Raptor” valved shocks and a 2-4 inch Kelderman rear lift. Company owner Jeff Kelderman promises the ride with this aftermarket suspension setup is just as good, if not better than factory.
This Silverado has a lot of money invested into it, we’re willing to bet, but were sure the Iowa-based customer was elated to see its transformation after taking delivery. Check it out in the video embedded just below.
