A new Chevrolet Tahoe discount reduces the price of all 2019 models by $5,000, and 2020 models receive a slightly lesser $4,750 discount. Notably, it appears the Bow Tie brand has re-introduced its manufacturer incentives for remaining in-stock 2019 Tahoe models, as no offers were available last month.
Incentives
Nationwide Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers in July are as follows:
- Featured 2019 Discount Offer: $5,000 consumer cash
- Featured 2020 Discount Offer: $4,750 consumer cash
- Featured Lease Offer: $549/month for 39 months
- Applies to Tahoe 4WD LT
- Ultra low-mileage lease with 10,000 miles per year
- For eligible current lessees:
- $4,199 due at signing (after all offers)
- $0 security deposit
Interested shoppers should note that the above Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers will be available through August 3rd, 2020. Additionally, General Motors has extended its special vehicle discounts for first responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus until the end of September.
For reference, here are the 2020 Tahoe trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $1,295 destination freight charge included:
- LS (1LS) – $50,295
- LT (1LT) – $55,095
- Premier (1LZ) – $63,995
The GM Authority Take
The 2020 model year will be the last for the current-generation Tahoe, since an all-new, next-generation Tahoe will arrive for the 2021 model year (see more on 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe). As such, we believe that recent Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers are intended to incentivize current GM owners to purchase the current model, rather than waiting for the next-generation model or switching to a more modern offering from Ford (Expedition) or Nissan (Armada).
That said, it’s worth noting that, so far, this year’s Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers have been more conservative compared to last year’s, which included an 11 percent discount in March and a 14 percent discount in November.
