Chevrolet Blazer discount offers during the month of July will seem familiar to prospective buyers who have been keeping an eye on manufacturer incentives, as the $3,750 cashback rebate is available for 2019 Blazer models yet again. The Bow Tie brand has also rolled out an even more worthwhile incentive as part of its Open Road July Sales Event, which reduces the price of most 2020 Blazer models by up to 12 percent.
Notably, General Motors is no longer offering interest-free financing, which it was previously doing as a means to alleviate customers suffering setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

How about adding wireless CarPlay & CarKey support; and SS model?! What’s the status on the Lingenfelter SC upgrade package?
If there was a CUV that should become an SS model is the Blazer. Imaging a Turbo V6 and AWD with the looks of it.
I thought the volumes were okay on this, but it is not a good sign to be pulling your pricing integrity on a newish model. And, in a market that has lower inventory than a year ago they are still offering incentives on 2019 models…would have thought those were long gone pre-covid.
I don’t see performance as the path for this…it seems more like a value alternative for a would-be entry level lux buyer (despite the Blazer badge).
Chevrolet needs to add safety features such as automatic braking and cross traffic sensors as standard equipment on their upgraded models instead of requiring buyers to purchase the technology as an option. Compared to the 2020 Toyota Highlander, the Blazer does not compete in this area.
Lats year we went to test drive a new Cadillac SUV and found they wanted an additional $5,000 for the technology package that includes the automatic braking and cruise control with built in automatic distancing. I pointed out to the sales person we own a $20,000 Toyota Corolla that came standard with those safety features and more. You would think GM would step up their game to compete at the same price point.
We will probably purchase the 2020 Toyota Highlander Platinum (MSRP $46,850) that comes included with: Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD),97 Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA),104 Lane Tracing Assist (LTA),105 Automatic High Beams (AHB),108 Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC),68 Road Sign Assist (RSA)95 and Cyclist Detection and other automatic safety features which GM and Chevrolet charge extra for as an option in their top line vehicles. Chevrolet, people want more that horse power.
UGLY!!!!
Let me add the Toyota Highlander L Model priced at $34,900 comes standard with the aforementioned safety features and they do not require the buyer add a $2,000 option.
In Ontario , CA, there’s a CAD 3,500 “Employee Price Discount” for the RS and a bunch of other Chevy and Cadillac models, good through 7/31, and 1.99% APR for 84 months. Offers are not mutually exclusive.
Sorry to those that disagree, but an indicator of GM’s success is their bankruptcy’s and current share price of $24 compared to no bankruptcy’s and Toyota’s share price of $125.
Hard facts. But the Boomers on here will be all, “YeAh BuT tHeY DoNt MaKe BiG TrUcKs LiKe GM” Just look at the last time GM and Ford saw substantial grow after the bailouts. That grow corresponded directly with increased sales of competitive vehicles that were not full size trucks!
Meanwhile GM releases the lackluster Trailblazer that pales in comparison to it’s Japanese and Korean counterparts. Sweet moves GM 👌
All true. I was building the Blazer and found Chevrolet offered plenty of plastic items to dress up the vehicle that were add on options, but unfortunately no value or innovation included in the MSRP. I own 3 Chevrolet’s and a Toyota commuter car and the Toyota has opened my eyes. We will be purchasing a SUV soon and I can’t buy another Chevrolet. I have an $87,000 Zo6 and it has none of the technology the $20,000 Toyota came equipped with as standard. Intuitive LIDAR cruise that automatically slows the vehicle to a safe following distance if a vehicle moves in front of you while cruise control is engaged and then resumes to the set speed when the vehicle’s distance safely increases. How about lane departure that moves the Toyota back into its traffic lane and warns the driver if the driver falls asleep, or due to inattention. These are a couple of the features. GM needs to make this standard. I would submit they would not have back up cameras if it wasn’t a government safety requirement.
My wife’s Cx-3 is what opened my eyes. It doesn’t really have a lot of tech, but it is just an engaging ride. Makes the 40 minute drives fun and not a chore. If I’m not mistaken I believe Toyota has invested in Mazda.
Anyways yeah, I was hoping the new Trailblazer would have a competitive motor like a 2.0t, but it doesn’t. Looking more and more like we’ll be parking another Japanese car in the driveway in a few years.
GM quality has increased but aside from Buick design is blah, unsophisticated, and lacking in standard technology.
GM seems to think that the Chevrolet brand has enough equity to change an arm and leg for a sub par base trim. Unfortunately Chevrolet could be smashed like Dodge and no one would cry! Ford is creating Bronco and Mustang as quasi sub brands due to the terrible Ford brand image. FCA with Jeep/Ram is the only Detroit brand that has the brand equity to compand top prices.
I like overpriced captive import Buivk Envision but would never was the money considering the Korean offerings.
You are not making any sense. The stock price alone cannot be used as some kind of indicator to see how well a company is doing. You also need to know the number of shares. What company has better value: 1,000,000 shares at $24 or 100 shares at $125?
With your logic, GM could do a stock buy back and get their share price up to $150 which would then, according to you, make GM the better company.
Chevy made the Blazer into a mall crawler and Ford is making the Bronco a Jeep competitor. Ford won’t be offering incentives anytime soon. Jeep Wrangler is the “it” vehicle right now and Ford is going to do something about it. GM sits on the sidelines yet again due to cowardly and cheap leadership.
Oh oh the “GMoutsideguys” crowd is in full swing here…
Yes Blazer probably need work with the standard equipment department, looks like you’ll get the safety stuff with the mid-top models in which it mostly sells in. Why people keep recommening Mazda as their vehicles don’t sell is beyond me, Also for the Bucko isn’t Ford killing the Edge thinking people will line up for a fake Wrangler?. The 19,000 or so people last quarter bought the Blazer didn’t think off-roading is important.
Okay rookie, do you think it wise that GM continues to give up aspects of almost every market to their competitors? The Blazer should be a higher volume vehicle than just 19000 per quarter. The Bronco will be selling as many as Ford can build. Especially if it proves to be a better vehicle than a the Jeep it will be competing against.
Everyone knew what Bronco and Blazer were. Now people will remember what a Bronco is supposed to be and the Blazer as just another anonymous appliance that cost more than others in its segment while offering less content.
I’m certainly no fan of ford or FCA, I’m just a realist. I want GM to do better. That’s what I’m saying.
OK boom , what the point crying about something that net cowboys can’t buy new with millions of lay-offs and considering Ford’s lousy, plague launch schedule and the Bucko won’t be available till spring of next year, while GM have the off-road T1s, is moving thousands of CUV/SUVs between now and then with an electric off-roder coming, who’s missed the boat?. Not everyone wants a knock-off Jeep.
This is such a pathetically weak effort. Its simply a different version of the FWD Platform everything GM makes, a vanilla cone with “red sprinkles”… Ford launches the Bronco, a real Bronco you reading the reviews on the launch, its fantastic and the web site to order one has crashed. Motor Authority says: the rugged off-roader is even better than most were expecting”.
When is the last time we heard that about ANY GM vehicle…. (I’m already hearing about quality issues on the new C8…) GM is dying….
