The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD in Work Truck trim has been recalled in Canada due to an issue with the vehicle’s roof-mounted identification lamps.
The problem: 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD Work Truck models with the available dual rear axle setup come with roof-mounted identification and clearance lamps. These lamps were not installed at the factory on certain trucks, according to Transport Canada, forcing General Motors Canada to recall them.
The hazards: Transport Canada says that Canadian regulations require identification lamps on vehicles that are more than 6 feet and 6 inches wide (80 inches). A vehicle without these clearance and identification lamps “could be less visible to other road users, which could increase the risk of a crash,” the safety watchdog also said.
