If you’re eager to get up close and personal with the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade, but don’t want to wait until dealer deliveries ramp up in the fall, then Cadillac Live has a solution.
For those drawing a blank, Cadillac Live is the luxury brand’s new digital showroom, providing customers with an interactive, realtime video walkaround of a Cadillac model of their choosing. The service includes a live representative that will provide information and specs, as well as answer any questions the customer may have.
The automaker has posted several video examples of what a real Cadillac Live session could entail, including walkarounds for the Cadillac CT4, Cadillac CT5, and Cadillac XT4. Now, we’re checking out this walkaround video on the 2021 Cadillac Escalade.
Cadillac Live representative Zane once again plays host for this video, providing the viewer with info on the brand’s latest flagship SUV. The model featured here is the Sport trim level, which comes with a black front fascia treatment and black accents, as opposed to a Galvano treatment for the front fascia and chrome trim, as seen on the Premium Luxury trim.
As Zane points out, customers have two engines to choose from, including the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, as well as the turbodiesel 3.0L inline six-cylinder LM2 Duramax, which produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
As we’ve covered previously, the diesel engine is offered as a no-cost option , and provides “significant” fuel economy gains compared to the gas engine. Diesel-equipped 2021 Escalade models are expected to start rolling off the production line around the August to September timeframe.
During this Cadillac Live video, we also get a tour of the interior, which on this model comes equipped with the available Rear Seat Entertainment system, featuring a pair of 12.6-inch diagonal independent touch displays. The new Escalade also features Super Cruise, the hands-free driver assistance system, and a 38-inch OLED display mounted on the dash.
