Special it comes with a case of Corona Hey Mary get out of China
Why get out of China? That’s one of the few places they’ve actually been successful.
With a $6,500 discount and a 25 percent tariff of about $9,000. plus the requirement by the Chinese government that GM share half the profits with their native Chinese “partner” automaker, I wonder if GM clears anything at all on the Envision. I know labor costs are very low and fringe benefits are low too, as are environmental compliance costs so those factors somewhat offset the discounts and tariff but shipping costs to get the product to America are much higher. I don’t see the business case for the Envision. It seems to me US production would be more favorable especially given the product’s similarities to products already produced here,
You’re probably just underestimating UAW labor costs.
That sort of thing does wonders for the trade-in value on ones already sold.
Exactly right but, in this case, I don’t feel sorry for any fool that bought one of these things.
